I hadn't noticed in the video until you mentioned it. I did when it happened but didn't think nothing of it till it would barely pull itself back to the house. I know some of the guys on here have mentioned theirs doing that but didn't quite have any big issues like trans failure. Oh well stuff happens.

We are currently putting together 5 Competition Units.

Give me a call and we'll get your name on one ;)

What is a competition unit compared to the regular build like mine?

I can say Morgans built tranny will take a beating. I don't know how much power I have but I'd bet its more than op, and I have lots of hard runs on mine and probably 20k mi without a hiccup. Also his turn around time is great, you won't be waiting months to get it.

Talked to Mike today and we are going with the competition one from Midwest. That way I don't have to worry about that kind of headache again and saves me from getting killed by my wife...lol.

Good call. With Morgans 6R you won't even be working the thing hard enough to make it sweat.

I was planning on doing duel fuelers on it here soon but thats on hold for a while. Would also like to do a piping kit to clean up the engine bay a little bit.

Thing was I really didn't beat on it but when I did the burnout it shifted fine through the gears and when I stopped at the end of the road I went to turn around to go back to the house it wouldn't hardly pull itself and had the service light pop up. Limped it to the house which is right down the road. No reverse and feels like it's stuck in a higher gear. Also it felt like there was a brake locked up(I assuming the transmission brake). Not really sure what's going on other than the trans fluid smelled bad so I assuming it's broke.

My condolence. Such a bummer. What was the final verdict on the damage? Curious to hear what the mechanics found? Or did I miss that?

I haven't even taken the pan off to see the damage. All I know is after I got it back to the house I pulled the dipstick and smoke was coming out from the tube and the fluid smelled really bad. I figured it was pointless to take the pan off. I would say the clutches are gone and what's left is metal shavings in the bottom of the pan. Still try get some stuff arranged where I can purchase a new transmission. Might be a while. Things haven't been really going my way here the last few days.
