I'm just hoping if I get a new grabs it won't keep happening. I read somewhere a guy had same problem replaced trans and still happened. Might take it to a guy that has a ford specific scanner to make sure it's not a electrical prob

Like I said I got a new upgraded direct clutch solenoid and got the same code after installing it and running it

Ford has I scan tool called IDS, that is what they use to find codes and other stuff. I'm in a ford training course now and I have used it on my truck, nothing has showed up for trans. The way my 30 yr ford tech/instructor it's really hard to diagnosis a trans that hasn't blown up. Unless you fully break it down and measure everything to oem specs. My best guess for you is to call gearhead and and tell them what is going on with your tune and have them get you a new tune.

Would it tell me if there is an electrical short? Somewhere like I said I just replaced the direct clutch solenoid.

If you get a code, yes it will tell you there is a electrical short in the code description, also if you take it to that guy, he should be able to do a road test and look at pids for those solenoids on the trans.

Yeah the only code I'm getting is the one for solenoid d which was replace last weekend. But code came back leads me to think the clutch is smoked again could be wrong. What ford training do you do?

What is the code number, The ford training that I'm doing gives me the basic knowledge of fords electrical systems, brake system, steering system, gas engine diagnostic and performance, Diesel engine diagnostic and performance and also A/C system

It's like p0766 or something like that I don't remember off the top of my head

If it's that code: SSPC-D Direct Clutch, SSPC-D circuit clutch or solenoid has failed in the off position during operation resulting in high pressure in the hydraulic circuit. Tow/Hual Off: no 5th gear available. Tow/Haul On: no 5th or 6th gears available.

Yeah it's the solenoid d stuck off code . So I replaced it and still happening

There is a lot of test you can do to figure out the problem and what it is saying it could be shorts or opens in the vehicles harness to that solenoid, a bad solenoid (highly unlikely unless the connector is loose, since it brand new) or the pcm ( unlikely as well, cause if it were the pcm, then it's the tune that is setting the code). If it's none of that, then worse case that clutch is fried. You can try and run all those test yourself, by going to a dealership with the access for those test and ask for a print out or have that guy with that scan tool run those test he possibly has the access.

Has anyone ever had problem with gearhead tuning before? I can't take it to stock because then it won't run right with the 190/100's

Not that I'm awhere of. Ya mine runs like crap on stock as well. But if you do take it to a dealer, it's a hit or miss if you a trans under warranty. Some run a test to pull codes and some don't to see if truck is tuned to void the warranty. But I do know that with my truck tuned with a sct programmer, fords system doesn't pull a code saying that has been modified. I've got to take my truck in for a vibration in the trans and mine is under warranty. So hopefully nothing spookes them.

Does it just idle rough in the stock tune?

Ya it's kinda like a lope tune or an injector failure in my opinion. But with all the fuel being pushed through the system the pcm doesn't know what to do with it, and it's bound to cause some issues depending on how long it is ran on stock.

Can you pull codes? Mine will idle a little rough from the plugged spill ports, but if its missing it should still throw a code. Who's injectors?

Me personally or you yourself pull codes? Anyone's injectors, like example when someone has a stock injector and it goes out it will just keep dumping fuel into that cylinder, smokes like a chimney and will lack power.

He's asking if you were getting any codes, or if you could check and pull them if there are any. And who built your injectors
