For everyone wondering Andy has a 5 year unlimited mile warranty. 1 year unconditional warranty and after that 4 years you just pay parts if anything goes wrong. Kinda hard to beat that set up!

Just to be clear after I install a new direct clutch solenoid when it throws a code for it should go away and be alright unless the code comes back for the same thing. Only logical answer would be trans right? I got code for solenoid d replaced it and still slips on the shift. It means the clutches are toast right? Just trying to explain to someone haha they don't believe it haha I put injectors in my truck and all of this goes on at once

That's no bueno.

I figured that it didn't smell to burnt don't know when the last time the fluid and filters were changed. I've smelt worse. Then again I blew my 7.3 trans and fluid didn't even look bad. But magnet with pretty gummed up. What are you thinking

Honestly.... I'm thinking you have 190/100s so you're going to need a new one eventually no matter what 😂

yea if there is stuff on the magnet then its shot esp if its slipping in that gear. other clutches aren't far behind if the clutch material gets caught up in there and clogs everything up

Thank you haha I thought so. My 4r100 gave me no notice when it blew one day I left work and it just stopped moving forward. It only had reverse apparently it's common for them

Mine does it as well, but from 4th to 5th, some of my buddies say that's how it's setup to reduce fuel and/or help mpg. Best thing to do is call gearhead and ask

In tow haul? Slips gears? Seems like it try's to shift and revs up and slams and slips till you let off? That's what mine did and I replace the direct clutch solenoid and it still does the same thing but for me it's from 3rd-5th

Pretty sure he means 3-5. My understanding is a 5r should only do a 4-5 under certain circumstances.

That's just daily driving. No tow haul. The 4-5 is all the time and I've been on the tunes for 10,000.I did have a slip the other day from 2-3, but I put the hammer down and immediately hit the brakes due to some jackass that pulled out in front of me at a light, then I started going and my truck would move at all until a certain rpm the finally shifted.
