i just know i want a compound setup with the ht3b not sure what to put as the small one

Stock turbo with a good gate/gates or a D66 with a gate. Or jump up to a 38r with an ext gate, it's proven for compounds.

i just know i want a compound setup with the ht3b not sure what to put as the small one

Why are you set on a Ht3B? Why not jump up to a S475? Little bigger turbo & the cost isn't bad. Lot of the Cummins guys will go with a S475 over a HT3B because it moves more air. (housing/wheel depending of course)

I'm set on the ht3b because i got it for free lol and i don't have money to throw around for 2 new turbos

im not looking to make everything the best i can by buying all these really expensive turbos I'm just trying to make something work with what i have for now I'm just wandering if what i originally had as an idea will work. it doesn't have to be the most efficient or best set up

if you are only looking to make 450hp, compounds are way overkill.

are you saying with what I'm wanting to put into it that ill be making 450 hp and i don't care about overkill I'm just looking to have a fun to truck to mess around in for somewhat cheap lol

figure in your fabrication costs and fitting that big charger under the hood. If you want a great street fun setup that can tow go get everything off a super duty (intakes, spider, pipes, pedistal intercooler etc) and go intercooler and a drop in ball bearing 38r adn you can make 475-500 and not lose any streetability with a hybrid injector.

well I'm gonna make them mix because i don't have tons of money sitting around like i said this is a have fun mess around in truck
