Right now I'm running a single 71 turbo on my race truck but I'm having to spray the heck out if it to clean up the smoke. Seeing as how NOS is pretty hard on enternials I'm wanting to go with twins. What size has everybody found as best for 295's and around 1,000 rwhp. I'm wanting to build it all myself but need advice on turbo's. Thanks.

Yeah I think you're right Garrett, the 80 might not be enough for the 1000hp mark. I think Ellerton stepped his up to an S510 last I knew....

seems like most of the guys making 1000 or more are still spraying quite a bit. Probably just crappy head flow on these 6.0's.

Is it the 80mm that's not 1000hp capable, or is it the 80mm attached to the 6.0 that's not 1000hp capable?

You could probably touch a 1000hp with ease with the 80 as the LP, with some spray!

Could try *****'s new 80mm....

(Copied from another forum...)

In the first dyno flog of the newest design Billet 80mm compressor wheel from ************* for the S400 turbo, a 249 rear wheel horsepower gain was realized in comparative testing against the cast 80mm wheel.

Cast wheel made 1040 with the gate pinned shut making 23-24 psi. Billet wheel made 1289/1107 @ 29 psi with the gate pinned shut.

Both turbos had the 96/1.32 hotside. A 1.58 housing will be tested shortly.

These picture are from another forum as well...

The Cereal Killer Harley 6.4 made 930rwhp on 40's with a 66/88 compound setup. If 35's were on the same setup it would be 1000rwhp+.
