Both trucks in here look great, this would be an easy way to make a solid color truck two tone. Just what I don't need is another truck related project. LOL

What is this knifeless tape anyways?

You need the special spray to soak the decals before install, makes install way easier.

It's not really a special spray. What works best is this....

Rubbing. Alcohol and water to wipe down the surface you are going to apply the vinyl.

Then water and BABY SOAP (works best) on surface then once applied squeegee it out. But honestly that's for the more experienced...

Just use water/ rub alcohol to wipe down surface and then put the vinyl on. And a heat gun is always your best friend to work with vinyl.

When i do decals I just take my time and never get any bubbles because I squeegee them out as the stuff gets laid down. I've never used anything on decals.

This whole wrapping thing with larger pieces is going to be a heat gun for sure.

That's good to know I don't need to keep buying that "special spray" what's the ratio for the baby soap and water in say a 16 oz spray bottle.

Id say 1:10ish. Just enough to where it's got little bubbles when you spray and you can smell it.

Sounds about right. It's the same technique I've always used when putting vinyls on my bikes. Ph balanced (baby soap) helps retain the adhesive.

I've been looking through this color packet trying to decide what color. I was ironically thing about not staying close to original and going crazy with something like brushed blue steel. Looking through it again I'm thinking matte copper metallic. Or something in the darker silver metallics. Idk. I'm gonna have to get them out in the sun and look though. Haven't had nice weather since I got the thing.

Copper would be cool. Get some used black wheels that need refinished and do them in copper powder coat that matches.

I've got this stock 16s that need the clear stripped and to be redone. The copper vinyl is matte, so I'd just put that on and see if I like it. If not I'll get glossy clear to put over it. I'm liking the copper idea more now.

Also Ty, I think I've had 7.3 discussions with you before, and I posted a question in my "build thread" if you could check that out id be thankful.

I may be wrong but I don't think you can put a gloss clear over a matte and make it shiny. I'd be interested to see how that works.

Gloss clear vinyl over matte vinyl. Double layers also protects the colored layer a bit better.
