Gloss clear vinyl over matte vinyl.

And that would give you the same gloss as a one step gloss vinyl?

Haha, speaking of putting a gloss over a matte my friends wrap shop is doing that to a mustang right now.... Ill post up a pic
There are some really nice colors in this packet. Just I'm not a fan of many of them for my current usage. I love the brushed silvers but I don't like the silver on a white truck. The brushed gold is awesome too but just too gold for my likings in this case. I hope I can get good at this and people around here see it and want stuff like what I'm doing to mine done to theirs so I get to work with some more of these colors.
Yeah thats why i say i don't think i have it in me to do it. But its such a crazy color with how it only shines gold in certain angles and the rest of the car looks matte/green matte/silver. Something that pictures can't do justice with.

At would be greatly helpful.

This may sound confusing but the best way to explain it is...
Gloss has depth.
Matte doesn't.
Gloss over matte gives it some shine like an all gloss color, but there is no depth to it.
And ya can kinda see what I'm saying in that pic of the mustang.
Would it be possible for you to have him take a scrap square of color and cover half of it with the clear and leave half uncleared? Then take a pic of that with some like reflection? It hard to tell a difference without a reference to what it looked like before the clear.
Yeah I can manage that.
Pretty much the gloss just adds some shine to it.
No concentrated light, and looking right at the color, you don't see the gloss because the matte takes over. Then at angles and light, the gloss adds more shine to the matte.
