Been running my fuelab for over 4 years. You're not suppose to run it at full speed when using the truck as a DD...only reduced speed. High speed is intended for drag racing or pulling. Just short distances I was told. It will support 1000hp at reduced speed. I've had no issues and no pressure drops at reduced speed setting. Sounds like you got a problem Garrett.

You can run them on a pressure swith though to go from low to high speed, but a healthy system shouldnt need to. Like you said the pump should keep up no issues .

I can't believe you drop pressure either, same pump on my 7.3L that made 900+ and the pressure gauge never budged... maybe shoot Dennis an email, bet he could help ya. He pretty well versed with those pumps

yo pres.

i think your problem lays within the mess of hoses that make up your pump and filter assembly. its a ***king mess. rework that sob with some orb swivel unions and hook the filter bases directly to the pump.

much cleaner, and you wont have the restriction of all the extra hoses tangled up looking like dog chit.

Nah. It's staying like that...at least for a while. I don't think the restriction is there. Hoses are huge.

Whole assembly is inside the frame rail. None is visible.

Your setup is different than most, so you can't compare it with others.
Install a boost switch and enjoy the best of both worlds.

Thanks David!!

After talking to Mr. Lott on the phone, I now know where the drop is coming from. Switch will do the trick.

There is not an actual issue per se, Garretts setup utilizes a Fass air return system built in so he will have to use the high speed function under hard load.
I also use a FASS system on my truck. Its a low pressure system feeding the fuelab. I have had zero issues with it on the truck for over 4 years and never a drop in pressure.

I don't have a lp pump though. Just fuelab. No fass pump...just the base

Garrett's fuel system is a whole different animal. It's a blend of a fass kit I had laying in my garage off my 7.3, fuelab pump, DI's ingenuity and G Racing's fabrication skills. Little bit of everything. Same setup in Snow White iirc. Works awesome. Just needs to overcome the air relief side of the base and it sounds like David has it figured out now. I'm sure Jason will be putting some of his touches on the system to incorporate the solution and keep it looking as stealth and factory as it does now.

Gare, your stuff left today. Probably see it Monday, week after

Gotcha guys. When david said FASS system I assumed it was a low pressure system with the filters like I have feeding the fuelab.
