Hey how do i get a pto out the back of my truck to run my mower?!?!

haha. It's just for transport purposes. We try to minimize the amount of road miles on the tractors, so the mowers and rake are transported by truck to the farther fields; tractors and baler take a trailer ride. Not to mention, it's a lot faster, the mowers can go ~40 behind a truck while the tractors top out at ~19.

How do you like autocross? I'm thinking of getting into it. Was looking at some GT-500s.

Either of my caddy's would be total pigs on an autocross circuit so I stick to road racing in the Cadillac Challenge Series. The sedan is full cage and stripped out, weighs nearly two tons, but makes 800 rwhp all day long on E85. Running 345's (r) and 325's (f) it's very competitive despite it's weight against GT3's, McLaren's, you name it.

The coupe is what I drive daily, but also use to instruct my daughter and my niece as they break into racing with me. 640 rewhip on 91 octane, but 730 on the 100 unleaded plus meth tune for the track. Stock suspension, great road car.

The GT500 is a solid performer on the road course but will be heavy on autocross. The guys that have them at or track events are always fast and having fun. Bang for the buck they are great.

Thanks for the kind words from the others on my rig. I designed that trailer myself and got it made on the cheap (sub$10k) which makes me a tad proud of it.

My truck is still my favorite though I have to admit.:rockon:

How is the heat soak with those blowers? I know a buddy who had a centri blower on a mod motor motor and swapped it out for a NASCAR spec dry sump engine for better intake temps. Just wondered how the PD blowers did.

The heat soak is there to be sure, but running a lot of cooling we can keep IAT's to around 100 even on a hot day. The coupe runs the stock 1900 blower that's ported and polished on a spacer. The rest of the motor has of course been massaged but it's a stock bottom end. The sedan is running an ERL 434 ci motor with 6-bolt All Pro heads and a Magnusson 2300 blower. Heat soak is actually less on the sedan thanks to better efficiency. Nothing really beats a proper full race dry-sump ticker though. . .:)

Back to towing, anybody in Northern IL here? Why is a ten year old 24v dual axle enclosed "car hauler" 8k $? My buddy picked up a 20' enclosed, v nose, dual axle for 2800. It was three years old.

I should have asked waaaay more for my 20'x102x103H. I put it out for 2900 and fave an estimate of miles, one guy questioned the repair to the ceiling where the torsion spring kept trying to cave the roof in. Then he bought it.

Just wondering if anybody wondered "it be cheaper, even after fuel, to drive across the country to get a gn trailer, or an enclosed trailer."

I have a 2006 Haulmark 16' 10K trailer I can't seem to get rid of.

Still in the same spot.

Big bales or just wet still? What we get around here are usually around 3-400 dried out.
nope not wet. they get paid by the ton for dry hay so we use a 6x6 or 5x6 jd roundbaler that packs so tight you can barely stick a pitch fork in the ends.. 300 to 400 lb bales are a waste of time for us.
