They are not rusted. Just paint peeling off. Only 3yrs old.How rusted are your cross members? My bed floor is gone, which is why I have a B&W.

This is attached to the frame.Frame mounted hitches are the way to go. I would never go back to a bed mounted hitch.
That load looks heavy! At least it was not bad for wind drag.
Yes. But it uses the bed for support. This is attached to the frame.
Its not supposed to actually. It just sits on it. Thats the hole design of the rails.Yes. But it uses the bed for support.
Do you have air bags?
Gotcha. Its not supposed to actually. It just sits on it. Thats the hole design of the rails.
I have firestone work rites. They are like timbrens but not as stout.
A ****ing LOT! No clue but way way to much.Gotcha.
I wonder how much tongue weight you had? The bags did a good job from the looks of the picture.
Is it even touching anything at the bottom? Doesn't look like it in the pic.Thats the rubber thing dangling down. Butt plug lookin dohicky
That is a option that would be nice. I like the fact no air is needed. Plus, they should not change ride quality empty.A ****ing LOT! No clue but way way to much.
Yeah. They are a oversize rubber jounce bumper thingy. Kinda like an oversized factory overload cushion. That yelliw foam thing back there.
Oh, and it toasted my diff oil as well. Never had one this hot before. Puked oil out of the vent tube. Lol
When no load is on the truck, there is a gap.Is it even touching anything at the bottom? Doesn't look like it in the pic.
That's rough Jake. That's why I went to the newer aluminum ones... my 02 was a fuggin rust bucket.New rails in. It mangled the bed cross members as well. Not that it helped that they where rotted away already. ***in New York winters kill body parts. Not much left of them at all. Like im going to need to have them replaced or get a new bed. They're that bad. I didn't get pics.
Probably need to rebuild the rearend as well. Changed the diff fluid as well. Score marks on the housing from the pinion gear.
Yeah. I used to undercoat with fluid film religiously. But after i wrecked my 12, i was like, meh, ill do it next year. Then did the same thing the next year and now im kicking myself in the nuts for not doing it..That's rough Jake. That's why I went to the newer aluminum ones... my 02 was a fuggin rust bucket.
