I saw that hitch on e-trailer. there is just too much goin on with that thing. I think I will just add a few gussets to my next hitch for some insurance. Still don't plan on overLoading it. Also gonna ditch the extra long hitch that adds more leverage on the reciver.

yup, did the same thing to the hitch on my dually while hooked to the sled.. had a big drop hitch with a huge gusset like that and it rolled the tube down.

Could you get me a pic of how your hitch is set up on that flat bed? On my 450 there isn't any receiver just a 2 inch ball put through c channel and I am wanting to build something to accept a drop/raise hitch.

Depending how your flatbed is setup you might be able to use an normal hitch like I have on my 550. I've got a Class 5 Curt that takes 2.5" ball mounts. Stout hitch for just over $300. Much better then the 2" drawtite that was on the truck when I got it.

Yep, pulled the 550 leafs out of the rear last year, dropped the back down to level with the front and threw stock leafs and bags under the rear. Rides much better empty.

That picture was actually at a fuel station in northern Ohio on the I80 turnpike.
