Last night I was going through a yellow light well I was doing 45-55 and the road the was crossing the light made my truck flex extremely hard, I broke the drive shaft at carrier bearing and it just reved up. So I pulled off the road, and I attempted to put it in 4x4 to get me home and when I tried to engauge it, it made a wierd popping sound. It will move in all of the gears except for park. I need to get this fixed asap so I can run it at truck nationals this weekend. Thanks

Maybe a more clear description of the problem would help. Dont know anything about a
4wd setup, but when you say that it will move in all gears except for park what are you talking about? What will move?

The truck is supposed to move in all positions except park, so it must be something else. Not trying to be a smart ass, just pointing out the non-clarity.

Lets keep the shaved head comments out of the tech sections. Thanks.

Are you sure your hubs are locking in? Have a friend look at the front axles while it is rolling, make sure they are engaged. If not that, look at your transfer case.

If it won't move in park, then your transmission is still connected to the t-case (internally), and should be able to spin the tires. Unless there is some more extensive damage within the tranny. I'd be willing to bet the t-case is fine.

Okay, if I am following this thread right, your truck does not roll while in park...right?

If this is true it is safe to say there is nothing wrong with the driveshafts, hubs, or transfer case....

My guess is you broke something in your transmission flexing your truck driving through a yellow light at a crossroad doing 50......lol.

HAHAHA LOL.... No doubt.

Possibly the input shaft, int shaft or output shaft.
