Installed my AlAs, front shocks, Carli front Springs, New Rear sway bar, Fog light bulbs (amazing!), replaced motor on my air compressor and wired up the fuel tank on the bed for farming season.

Just put this back together. Going to work on the coolers now. Been a few years since I took it apart, sadly.

went to change an alternator and noticed that, i don't need one the wires for the plug were chaffed and the power wire to the alternator was just about worn 100% through. So i'm going to return the alternator and pick up pigtail connector.

How the heck does one not notice that prior to buying expensive parts?

you can't see the wires down on the alternator on 6.4 without removing the inner fender liner. on 6.4's the alternator is on the bottom of the motor. not up top like a 7.3 or 6.0 it doesn't matter anyways. I just bought the alternator yesterday and I will bring it back tomorrow when they open and return it for a full refund, the dealer is only 10 or 15 miles from my house...

Oh I see.. normally I do a voltage check on the main hot wire coming off the alternator then check the battery cables then the posts to make sure all the voltages are close to the same.. if there is a big drop then I ohm out the wires..

that would have been the more logical idea, but I like to jump to conclusions...I was getting better at fixing stuff and not just replacing parts on my cummins but then I switched to fords which have entirely too much wiring for me....I honestly liked my mechanical 12v better. but I will admit they are night and day difference. the power is unreal, it stops a lot better, nicer cab, but the 12v was easy to work on, and make power with. not as easy as 6.4.

Picked it up from the body shop, then proceded to leave a good coat of rubber in the wheel well. After not driving the truck for three works, due to work, it will get a thorough beating this week.

My Day today did not start out good. I was on my way to SD with a load of bulls AND I Lost the tip off of one of the injectors. They are all out now and getting ready to put the stock injectors back in. Looks like we will miss the bull sale.......

Finished cleaning up the frame and painted it. Also started doing the Hutch & Harpoon mods but got held up when I realized I forgot to get a PVC cutter. Oh well.

Ignore the little tires.... those are just on for inspection. Hopefully I can get the new bed on tomorrow.

Looks damn good to me. What did you use on the bed undercoating or a bed liner?

The frame is just basic paint. (Rust control formula) the bottom of the new bed was painted then hit with spray on bed liner.

Also picked up a cheap used tire for a spare. At least it's the same size as my normal tries now, lol

New bed is on FINALLY!!!!

Just need to hook up the fill neck when it's done drying and I can get it inspected for the first time in close to 3 years, lol

Of course I need to finish paint and I need trim/badge for the tailgate, but at least it's driveable again.

And 35's are going back on the soon as the inspection is done, lol
