Who else runs hot?

Could be, it is a glow**** gauge. In the summer it comes up to about 120-130* in short trips. And around 140 and up to 160 in hour trips or longer.

Yeah, mine settles in at right around 198-202* after a few minutes at 75mph unloaded.
Where do you have your temperature sensor? Might have something to do with it.

Inspection hole in the block. Under the oil filter.

Here is after the trucks been running for 40 minutes at and 50-65mph for about 20 minutes. Which I just got done doing.

I think that temp is too low for trans. Mine is usually around 160.

inspection hole? got a pic? if its an oil port, it will record temp-- your gauge/sender appears broken

I put my trans probe in where there is a port plug on the driver side. Is that an ok spot to read temp?

My probe is on the driver side I'm the block right above the oil pan. They are glow shift gauges, and I don't have a picture currently
