I’m getting ready to put the engine back in but I need to assemble up pipes and turbo etc.
I do not have an engine stand capable of holding this thing.
Do you think it would be OK to gently set it down on the oil pan with some wood blocks (to level it)
It’s a brand new oil pan and has been on there at least a week so the silicon should be good and cured.
My only other thought is to lift it up in the air and then weld up / fabricate a quick stand to keep it elevated off the floor.
My gut feeling is it probably would be OK sitting on the pan.
I’ve seen plenty of engines in this position
