Like the title says i am about to just trade the damn thing in I had to listen to this for an hour and a half today on my way home. I cant take much more and I cant find anything loose and all the weather striping is good. And its not the boost guage. It only does it when I am going into the wind but does it way worse if the wind is at an angle headed into it.

doesnt that suck! I think its something in the seal of the windshield on that side. it only does it when it gets colder outside. Mine did it all last winter and its starting to do it again now. You can feel the vibration up there if you feel the plastic next to the windshield. Crack the drivers window and it goes away.

I have to get a new windshield due to a big crack that i have been letting get bad so that hopefully it will fix this noise too when they replace it.

Sounds like a bad seal on the windshield. The butyl adhesive dries and shrinks in the cold and if not applied correctly, it can an has on my truck made some annoying noises. Did you have your windshield replaced in the last year?

My truck does the exact same thing and under the same conditions. I suspect it's a clearance light allowing wind in, just haven't fixed it yet.

Cover the windshield seal with masking tape and/or the cab lights and see if it changes the noise or takes it away. That would narrow it down some. I know I couldn't deal with that sound either!

Mine does it as well..I dont have clearance lights. It is either the windshield or a pinch weld. I hate it! I forget about it until it starts doing it. Cooler weather makes it more frequent along with runing into a head or a cross wind.

With the amount of miles I bang on mine it's going to need a windshield next year anyways. It's all sandblasted to **** now.

I don't have clearance lights on mine and its done it on the 2011 and the 2012. ITs not around the windshield, although it sounds like it. But not often enough for me to worry about it. Hasn't done it in the warm weather. I think its s piece of rubber or flap/seal that gets caught just the right way and kind of works like a whistle. (I picture a thin piece of rubber getting hit by wind and flaps back and forth really fast making this noise, but have never found it.

Wow, never thought I'd be contributing to a 6.4 thread. I think its a SD thing. My E99 does it, my dads 01 does it, and my buddies 2000 did it. Passenger side, cold weather, cross wind. If anybody figures out how to fix it let me know. Driving back and forth to WY last year I about went crazy.
