Do you think there is enough weight difference to make a difference in RPMs? After all, the exhaust flow is the determinant on the RPM. And on the weight idea, blade pitch and length can counteract the weight difference

Say the wheel designs are identical. Stock vs billet. The billet wheel would weigh less and cause more Rpms. I believe the weight difference will be significant.

If the gate isn't touched and a lighter wheel is installed, theoretically it should spin at a high rpm then a stock wheel. Thus creating overspeed, and possible failure.

For the record, I'm not trying to talk down on bobs parts. I actually like many of his products. My comments are just personal opinions and beliefs.

i know lighter is faster but with the same amount of fuel(stock) as the stock wheel how will it spin faster? it will light faster, i hope cuz these things are laggy biches...

It does. After 100,000 rpm , ever 10,000 rpms is double the force of the previous rpms. So basically 110000 rpm is twice the force of 100000 rpm same with 120k rpm over 110k. Obviously the bigger the wheel the more force there is. So in this case the rpm prob wont effect the wheel a ton but the shaft speed and how they oil isnt good. Unbalanced yes you are right it wouldnt be good at all esp with 2 wheels

This^^^ Uniform circular motion basics

I don't see it being a good idea on a tuned truck, being that these turbos operate close to their threshold in their factory form as is. But it would be cool to see the gains on a tuned truck; anyone going to give it a run?

Turbo is probably junk or there is a leak. Mine hasn't been laggy stock or tuned.

yeah i agree even at 6000 feet there is just a slight lag due to lack of fueling (ive watched with my dashdaq) but thats due to low boost fueling. Even then it idles with 1psi of boost all the time

I'm shocked that Bob had nothing to say in regards to his wheel?

I was really looking for him to defend it....
