OK guys - I bought this a couple of years ago - it is a common rail 4BT otherwise known as an ISB170 - it is 170hp right out of the box before you start tinkering with it - making it an awesome candidate for a daily driver fuel sipper engine conversion. It has a 5 speed Allison 1000 with it, all the wiring (integrated together) computers, IC, radiator, transcooler, some IC plumbing, a new in box alternator, wiring diagrams, the works. The only thing I know it doesn't have is the throttle pedal.

The awesome thing about this setup is its BRAND NEW - but old stock. This was installed into a Workhorse step van chassis that NEVER received a body - it was used in the service department for training and troubleshooting - it has a few hours of run time on it, but other than that it has never been used.

I know there is an exhaust manifold bolt that is broken and a coolant sensor that is broken from shuffling this around the shop at its previous home before it came here. I purchased it for a project vehicle and I had some issues with the actual vehicle early on during tear down that caused me to stop working on it - now I'd like to clean up the shop some and do some expansion and improvements to my facilities.

Located in Central Ohio - Could be delivered to the NHRDA World Finals in Ennis, TX in October 2012. $7500

I can get some better pictures if someone is serious - its kind of tucked away in the shop under some shelving at the moment. Feel free to ask any questions.

I have a truck that would be a great candidate for this but alas I have no money for it.

BTW holy huge pictures.

Was it ever taken apart in the training and troubleshooting center?

Not that I am aware of - it was more for diagnostics of the chassis wiring and showing/teaching locations of the components back when common rail was a wild new technology. It certainly doesn't look like it has ever had a bolt turned on it beyond maybe pulling the valve cover.

Also have parts/trucks to make a neat little fuel sipping rat rod with this motor - '98 Dodge Dakota chassis - most of a '98 Dodge Durango for parts (seats, interior, whatever you want), and a late 40's Dodge truck with a valid and current title in my name that could all be packaged up into one deal for some person looking for a neat project.

I always pictured this with some flat black flames, painted rims, and some wide whites would be a neat setup:

Wish I had unlimited funds right now. This is exactly what I'm wanting to put into a jeep wrangler someday. Don't have the jeep or the money for motor! All I have for right now is my dreams!!

I can't believe this hasn't sold, I would be on it like a fat chick at a buffet if I didn't just buy a new horse trailer. My explorer would love this motor!

OK guys - whats it going to take to make this thing gone? I really don't want to have to start a project to toss this thing into and I don't want to really give away a brand new engine and transmission.

It would take me finding a good jeep wrangler and then having the cash to buy this motor setup. I wish I could!!
