Time for a little update. Finally got a Friday open enough to where I could get this in at about 4 in the afternoon. Worked on it until 830 or so and got the wrecked stripped down to the frame and everything that won't be needed was unbolted and thrown in a pile.

Then pushed the frame outside and power washed all the mud and grime off of it.

Got the engine out of the corner and put the converter in the trans and got them bolted together.

Then got it all sat in the frame. Went in much easier than I expected it would.

The easy part has been done. Now onto building a fuel system and getting everything bolted on and into place.

not much has happened with this project lately. dropped the cab on it and shoved it in the corner because we needed the lift to work on a customers truck.

had someone local interested in the built engine but I guess he's no longer interested. hopefully i can have it running by the end of the month if all goes smoothly.

I sold the airdog and bowl delete. going to use an a1000 pump. where can i get the filter heads for the fuel filters?

Just in case you are still looking for bases.

-10 orb inlet and outlet. I have the filter numbers around here somewhere.

Still looks dirty. Pull the motor out and wash it one more time. Lol. Glad to see you making head way with this. Can't wait to see what it does when you finish.

Question of the day.....I'll be putting my 4 link back on this truck. Is there any adjustment on them that I need to worry about? When I put them on the other truck I just bolted everything on and went with it.

I'm going to attempt using the electronic transfer case off the wrecked truck, who knows the best way to wire it in. Does it just require a power and ground and use a toggle switch?

I would think it would be a little more in depth. Just because it has 4 positions. 2hi 4hi N 4low. I would think that a straight toggle switch would make the motor just keep turning until it couldn't turn anymore.

Weld a shifter to it.... The gem senses t-case lever position and turns the motor on and off to select the right position. Toggle switches will not work.

So I'll have to use a manual case?

I'm afraid of that....

I would just rig up a shift lever, and either weld it like morgan said or find a way to drill and tap the little stub and bolt a lever to it. But the stub isn't very big so it would be a small bolt.

So you're saying take the motor off of the electric shift tcase and I can weld something to the lever that changes from 2wd to 4wd?

Yeah if you take the motor off, there is a little rectangular(rounded on the 2 ends) that sticks out and the gear inside the motor assembly slides over. Just use a crescent wrench to turn it or weld a lever on it.

There's two relays under the hood that run it as well. I thought my motor was bad till I replaced the bad relay. I'd go manual for sure.

I'll have to check that out then.

Will the handle and lever assembly on a regular manual t case work on it?
