Pretty much hangin out right now until i get some more material to build a support. Gonna be a little difficult since the flange is v- banded but I'll figure somethin out i guess.

I am sure you will figure it out. I am probably next so take good notes. Would this set up benefit from large filter and custom box like you built for Shone. I talked to him about it and was thinking of relocating my battery to give you some more room in the bay and also make sure I have plenty of air.

I think Chris and I will end up with different sticks and possibly HPFP systems, so we might be able to get some good testing from the first two trucks.

It probably wouldnt hurt to have a bigger filter and move the battery... Im glad to see more people getting away from vgt stuff. There is no reason with proper AR ratios and proper gating that you cant have an awsome set of non vgt compounds. A year ago I first asked this on the forums, whether it be .org or psn about why noone was using NON vgt setups and why everyone was all about elites compounds. Not to bash elite at all. But I dont think having a vgt is necessary in an after market setup, esp if you had a top of the line ball bearing setup that is supposed to spool faster. This will go to prove, it can be done, and these arent even ball bearing... Setup looks sick. I cant wait to see the results!!

I know there are a few of us that hope the NON VGT turbos work out. I have a set of Tow Powers as a back up plan, but I am hoping this pans out. I also want to make sure I can provide plenty of air since I am also running a ported manifold and 110's are in the current plan. I am also really looking forward to seeing how they turn out.

so forgive my ingorance, but I assume non-VGT turbos are substantially cheaper than VGT turbos? So this set-up would be much cheaper to a comparable sized compound set up of elites that has a VGT turbo?

I believe so. I wonder what set of elites turbos this set up would be compared too. i guess high powers bc they are a 62mm and a 76mm. But this kit is probably around 1/3 less in price.

That's an interesting assumption

I doubt they will be 2500 bucks considering mpd singles are 4000+ bucks right?

1/3 less. Which is really 2/3's of the price. So 5000. And mpds kit dont only include a turbo they have manifolds, up-pipes, and wastegate option. Not sure what the rudys kit has too offer yet.

I'm not saying you don't get value with the singles shoottheJ I'm just saying in the 6.4 world there is no such thing as cheap

trust me, I know :cursing:

I was just curious if a set-up like this would be more cost-effectve than a set up like elite's compounds for people who live at or near sea level. Don't know a whole lot about turbos but trying to learn
