    Which kit do you have aka part number? In order to diagnose that Id need to see how that kit works. Its different than the one I have for my 2002 F250 so I need to read up on yours to help.

    Retro hids installed years ago on my f250 and have worked flawless. Never had to touch them since installing them.

    Should have the lifespan of the stock one Id think at those levels and it being a built trans. Im over 320,000 on my stock trans and Im putting a good bit more power than stock. Not going to claim numbers without it being dyno'd. But if its not acting up Id leave it alone :)

    The person I talked to on the phone when I ordered mine claimed thats what was done. The box turns so much smoother than stock which leads me to believe them. Am I going to rip it apart to find out? No. At least not till it fails :) Once you drive one with one of these boxes vs stock setup...

    Where the factory box uses a bushing there redhead presses an actual bearing in there. Thus it doesnt die like the factory box does. Thats also why it doesnt bind up like the factory setup sitting still and trying to turn the wheel.

    If you do replace go with the redhead box not a napa or whatever. The redhead box is SO much better than the factory box. Turns easier sitting still too. Best upgrade I did to my truck in a looong time.
