Can anyone confirm if there are Teflon seals on the lines that go into box? If so what part number they are

I've been wanting to upgrade to a red head. I've been putting it off thinking it's going to be a pain to swap it. Does anyone know if there are any How To write ups on the topic? Or any insight on what to do or what not to do?

Its super easy to change the steering box out. Undo shaft from steering wheel at the box, undo power steering lines, remove pitman arm(a puller makes this super easy), remove bolts from frame hold box.

Reverse to install new box (make sure you do NOT turn the part shaft on the box much since its centered when it arrives) and top off fluids.

Awesome, thanks. Now just to save up the money. I'm really looking forward to this upgrade. It has needed it for a couple years now.

It's not too hard. I would change the lines while your in there. Mine developed a leak from rubbing the shock tower.

Usually death wobble on leaf spring trucks is track bar worn out. You ever replaced the tie rods etc....?

Ball joints too. I'll look deeper, will I know if track bar is bad by wiggling it or what?

Best way is to have the truck running on pavement, and have somebody else cut the wheel. Watch the bushings, if they're worn out you'll see the movement.

When I unlock the hubs and disengage 4wd. I get a grinding sound on left side after I hit bumps. The hub does indeed disengage I can spin driveshaft by hand. Any ideas

Spindle bearing inside the unit bearing. Its a little roller bearing for the axle shaft to ride on
