    Built 7.3

GLWS buddy! I would tell everyone this is a good engine - but I am biased. LOL

    2014 Sema project

I'm nearly positive that one of those guys stuck their head so far into Nessy's front wheel well that he could have checked the rod bearings. I'm actually surprised he looked at a work truck at all.

What happened to our automatic picture resizing? LOL

The Official PSA Duramax gets Built Ford Tough!

On the way to Colorado with the initial load of a truck chassis and a 12V engine: Sitting in the parking lot in Ennis Texas at the NHRDA World Finals: The return load of a 1948 Dodge 1 1/2T truck just after a rain shower in Texas just south of Dallas/Fort Worth: The load at a rest stop...

The Official PSA Duramax gets Built Ford Tough!

3745 miles. 12 states. 36' gooseneck trailer in tow. The truck did very well including going dropping down out of Denver into New Mexico going through a couple of mountain passes and traveling at a rather good clip of speed across the high plains. Admittedly the transmission did start to have...

    How not to ship injectors

OP - I totally get your frustration about these injectors. Shipping like that is sad and frankly disappointing as anyone that would box them like that should not be shipping anything. But after reading all of this I don't think all of your frustration is warranted towards MPD/MFI. Unfortunately...

    Deranged rebuild, the next chapter

Awesome. Can't wait to see it making those kinds of passes in Ennis. See you there.

Common rail conversion using duramax parts

Call Johnathan Mears 502-817-7494. He is the Tech director for PPL. When we had this discussion here in the COTPC - we determined that we would let it run if someone built it. The rule does not in any way prohibit the construction of such a setup for that particular class. Our wording is...

Common rail conversion using duramax parts

Agreed 100%. Nothing in those rules precludes p-pump conversions of any flavor.

Common rail conversion using duramax parts

The rules in the 2.6 class prohibit you from running mechanical injection? I know there is nothing in the rules against it for the COTPC, PPL, NHRDA, or the NADM.

Common rail conversion using duramax parts

They do tend to crack with high combustion temps (high EGTs) - but they can also make good power on stock pistons if you keep those temps in check - for instance I chose to make power with compounds on my LBZ - still rocking stock pistons at 130K miles and compounds of some variety have been on...

    1997 Ford F-250 EC LB 4x4 Powerstroke Diesel Low miles--nice truck--SMOG EXEMPT!

It was a setup. :poke:He says the turbo is good - then we all know what a good turbo is.

Common rail conversion using duramax parts

This really isn't all that difficult depending on what route you wish to take. You need Cam sensor, crank sensor, throttle position sensor, map sensor, rail pressure sensor, injectors, fuel rails and lines, CP3(s), etc.... But here is the rub - you take all that time, custom make the parts (not...

    Antique Furniture

There is probably an auctioneer that will take it on consignment in your area - so it doesn't necessarily have to go to an estate sale. If you were closer I would come look at it. Decent price for what it looks like you have.

Anyone running a bigger/different steering system?

Yup - you need a top steer arm added to that knuckle. I have one one my SAS'd Dmax - its a real slick setup.

    rpm issue

S400 based pulling turbo (2.5" or 2.6" with some rules clarification..... they probably don't know that an OBS PSD uses a T4 footprint from the factory). Toss in some hybrids with 200% or 400% tips and go show them whats up. I bet the rule gets cleaned up and clarified in a hurry after you start...

Talk to David Lott at Diesel Innovations - they are his pictures. I assume he had that adapter made.

A little free advertisement fro Dave with some OLD Diesel Innovations pictures. ;) GT42 mounted on an E99 pedestal. Pictures are probably 4 years old give or take. I'm not sure if this ever went into production as I have never seen it in person. You might need to make the spacer...
