    No adapting the footprint.

    rpm issue

You can put an adapter on the pedestal to make a regular turbo mount up - then you already have the OEM T4 flange from the OBS that you just need to make up-pipes for. I would have to mock one up to see what the potential clearance issues are - but I would totally be rocking an S480 with those...

    rpm issue

I would own those rules...... OBS trucks have a T4 mounting flange from the factory... so does that mean they can run a 2.6" or a 2.5" inducer.... and yes I have seen the factory cast OBS mount used in a T4 charger setup just for reasons like this.....

    Because heads no flow

I know Jacob and crew have been working on the truck. The new setup sounds like a work of art. When it becomes public I will post up pictures with permission of the owner.

    uncommon dually tire question

Not if you force them to touch HARD. Scott Morris was running large tires without spacers on the back of his dually and he had to have them nearly flat to install them and then pumped them both up to max rating so they were hard and no motion between the side walls and has been fine for a long...

DFI Performance - T4 conversion kit review

Many of us drain the turbo the fuel pump hole in the valley just to have less issues. The routing of the hose is just flat better, doesn't rub anywhere, gives you room to work and install easier, etc.... I've been doing them that way since 2007... maybe early 2008 and I know others were doing it...

coolant leaking from head stud nut

WTF do you have going on there? It obvious the leak is right there..... pull the head and look. It sure kind of looks like the gasket is smooshed out into the stud hole. Pull the head - if its just a gasket - great - if its a cracked block - then you will know.

    CPS gear contact?

Your cam gear is walking off the camshaft. It is just a press fit and should be TIG welded after pressing the gear on to achieve proper camshaft end play for any engine rebuild - especially a performance build.

    Supercharged 7.3

And that is why I need rods..... I want to turn my beast up.... I mean its already stupid responsive for a big truck on 37s..... but I'd like 4 digits of power to the ground by using a bit more fuel than the 630rwhp making 1.6ms.... lol

    Supercharged 7.3

So essentially it does exactly what many of us said that it would do when you first posted up. Imagine how far along you would be if you would have listened and discussed this when the concept that the blower was way too small to setup in an effective fashion was first mentioned instead of just...

    Hi all

35 posts and no one asked for pictures? I'm not sure to be impressed by the seemingly high??? level of maturity or depressed that Weazel and Powerstroke214 might actually be in love in the biblical sense.

    My tow pig/DD build thread. F350/Cummins 6.7/twins/6R140

How does this have anything to do with this thread? It is a decent swap - that I will agree with - but the general consensus is that the OP should just delete his truck while he is gathering the parts for a MUCH more difficult swap than the one in the link you posted.

proper way to break in motor

Plenty in this thread have hit the nail on the head. Fire it up, warm it up, make sure there are no leaks or issues and go wind her up real tight with a big load. I used a pulling sled. I also ended up with headers and up-pipes that were glowing so hot that I thought the truck was on fire from...

    Project Wheels Up

Its not that simple - while basically correct, its better to know exactly where your CG is so you can get even closer. Also that basic assumption assumes that you have a much better front to rear weight distribution and knowing exactly what that weight distribution is will help you greatly. When...

    Project Wheels Up

The idea is still solid - the problem is with the execution. It can still be a leaf spring and a bar, but it needs to be setup to work smoothly and not store excessive amounts of energy that get released causing the cyclical breaking of traction that you experience. You can take the time and lay...
