No. always been a forged rod motor.That sucks! Is this still a pmr motor?

its been drove a few times.Hopefully it didn't rust into the block. Has it been sitting like this since you first had the problem?
could the lube that was used cure hard enough to sorta lock tite it?supposed to be hand tight until they bottom out then back off 1/2 turn

ok. dont think it was from the stud then. its either cracked near the top of the block or its a head gasket..Not supposed to use any lube. It should be bone dry when installing the stud into the block.
where? the combustion gases in coolant test?WTF do you have going on there?
It obvious the leak is right there..... pull the head and look. It sure kind of looks like the gasket is smooshed out into the stud hole. Pull the head - if its just a gasket - great - if its a cracked block - then you will know.
