I didn't realize it was an either/or sort of situation. I thought it required both. I wish I would have known because so far the rocking of the motor would have been easier. Valve Spring?
The torque process. Getting an angle that worked and I could push/pull hard enough. The install was pretty easy other than that. I still haven't done the drivers side, but if I can get the room next to the evaporator box by taking the cover off it shouldn't be much different. -Aaron- GreenF350

Yes...Measured them out and shimmed appropriately. Went on the tight side if I couldn't get exact. (smallest shim I had or could find was .015") Went pretty smooth. Only weird thing was my seals (New ones) mesured at about .035"-.040". I thought maybe my cheapish calipers were just off, but...- GreenF350

Rust in fuel bowl??!!
I had a similar problem in mine. I was told it was the heater in the bowl and while it was still intact, I do think that was the problem in my case. Not sure why since I drained it pretty regularly though. Since it wasn't real bad and I have never had any issues related to fuel quality I just... -
Hot retorque needed?
It's just a one for one swap out on seasoned gaskets. 265,000 miles and 13 years worth of seasoning to be exact. I'm leaning towards extra care in the torque of them and might even let them sit overnight and check again, but I'm thinking I'm going to skip the hot retorque. Anyone think I'm... -

Help chasing a leak.....
That's what I thought too (same way we chase leaks on jet engines...go up and forward until you find the source), but it's proving to be a bit more difficult for some reason. I guess that plug isn't leaking if it's coolant behind it, but I'm fairly certain it's oil that's on the block not fuel... -

Turbo Pedestal Material
Looks like it's aluminum to me. In fact, I'm fairly certain it is, but I'm no metallurgist and who knows what alloy it is if that matters. Put a magnet to it....if it sticks, it's not aluminum. Sorry I can't be more help, never thought that much about this one. -Aaron -

Oil Pan Coatings
This doesn't seem right in my experience. One of the companies that powder coat around here took and powder coated some random pieces and then threw them in the Gulf of Mexico for a year. No corrosion what so ever. It was part of their marketing, but I know the guy that ran it and they didn't...- GreenF350

When I first put the 37's on my truck I was getting a solid 17mpg. As it's gotten older it has slowly dropped. I hope to get some back with new injectors and Hpop soon. I'm not too sure that the gears wouldn't help as I gain a consistent mpg to 1.5mpg when I switched from 35's to 37's. I guess... -
ICP Duty Cycle only 79.5%?
If the DC isn't limited as mentioned by Rideracelivemx7 in the second post, then that takes me back to my original question. Why does the DC steadily climb until it gets to 79.5 and then stay at EXACTLY 79.5 until I let off the throttle? Is my "120hp" tune really only calling for 2000psi @ WOT...
