Looking for advice on compound turbos

If that was in reply to me, yea fast spooling, or more accurate, very high altitude tow (9,000-11,000ft) so needs to be able to start spooling down low while keeping egt's in check.

Yea, the sleeving isn't done because of any inherent issues with thin cylinder walls. It's simply done as a precautionary measure to mitigate any issues caused by improper coolant maintenance.

I'm not even sure David uses new fasteners, just something I picked up somewhere while researching my build, but I would not be surprised if he did, or could add them onto the deal. IMO spending the money on a new block, without doing sleeves, is just taking a big gamble.

Always do new pressure plate/throwout/pilot/resurface flywheel with a clutch unless you are just trying to get by, and I don't think you are in that boat. I've been there and done some redneck shyt before but the results are usually less than optimal. The clutch kit will have all those and most...

Is that block getting sleeved? If not, you should really talk to Lott about that. In fact, doesn't Lott still sell a forged short block? His are sleeved if I remember correctly.

I think I see where you are going V-ref. I also think that whether it's 5 hole, or 7 hole etc., the holes will still need to have roughly the same aggregate size to flow the same amount. In turn I think that is limited by the surface area of the nozzle. A larger 5 hole will most likely not use...

38R or stock turbo???? Which clutch?

Yes on single mass, whichever flavor, Luk cerametallic eats flywheels btw. 38r is a much better turbo than stocker and will last a lot longer, but cost a lot more. If the stocker lasted 220K and did what you needed then hard to justify the 38r.
