    Egt gauge

:whs: Many people have had issues with Glowshift throughout the years. A bad gauge is worse than no gauge. Autometer is my brand of choice for analog gauges. As stated, 0-1600 is an normal EGT gauge for these engines. The temp range you should be in is 200*-1250* anyway.

    Bullydog GT tuner

We can write custom tunes for the BullyDog GT, but we do not offer emissions/DeePF removal tuning. Sorry about that. You may have a hard time finding it now with the EPA crackdown so hard here in the US.

    Very new to all this

Nice looking rig. I would attend to the downpipe first and foremost. They are an awful design from the factory. Most turbo back exhaust systems come with a 3" downpipe, so that is probably your best best to get more noise and less restriction. I would also recommend an intake upgrade. The S&B...

7.3 cylinder 3 contribution fault nightmare.

LOL I can't take the credit for that. Jody got a whole bunch of them years ago before they were extinct. I was just lucky enough to get one of his last few.

    7.3 with T4 SXE Turbo??

Do you ever plan on upgrading injectors? If so, consider the 364.5 w/ .91 housing. That is the one we sell the most of. It will work fine with stock sticks and a tune too, but really shows it's colors when you throw more fuel at it. If you are set staying with stock sticks, the 363 would likely...

    7.3 randomly shutting off

Any codes present? What have you replaced?

7.3 cylinder 3 contribution fault nightmare.

Have heard mixed reviews on the Delphi one. However, I juts have a hard time trusting aftermarket CPS' when they have left so many people stranded so many times. At least the Ford gray one normally keeps the engine running, even if it doesn't run the best. I have tried a few of the different...

Need some advise on Smog in california.

That is how i have mine setup as well. Riffraff black boots with logo's not showing, electrical tape over Turbo By Garrett logo on 38R boot, wire loom over FRx, etc. Better safe than sorry. They can fail you for just about anything out here.

    Chip install questions

Yes, you would still have a normally functioning WTS light with the incorrect Cali tunes on it. Respond back with what you find out.

    Hard starting (kinda)

This could be an IDM issue. However, when that is the case it will normally throw a P1298 code as well. The P1670 code means a communication issue has occurred between the PCM and IDM. I guess if your voltage is dropping low enough, this could be related. Yes, you could do that. But what a lot...

    Chip install questions

It may have California model tunes on it? The Cali trucks use a GPCM and not a GP relay, therefor the glow plugs are controlled differently. I would call you tuner and ask him to open the tune files to see if they are all correct. Only other thing I can think of would be timing differences in...

    Hard starting (kinda)

This kind of indicates it would be a voltage/starter issue of some sort. Hook up a volt meter and see what you are getting while cranking.

    Chip install questions

Sounds like it may have the incorrect tunes on it. Who did the tunes for you? What is your PCM code?

    Chip install questions

Just get all the silicone off. If you are down to bare copper, you have definitely gone too far. You should see mostly silver. A hint of copper color is okay, but you want the tinning to still be there.

    Fuel water seperator

Pretty normal. Unless your fuel was contaminated, there should not be much water in it. I drain mine every third oil change. That is when I change my fuel filter as well. About every 12-15k miles.

95 7.3 low icp low icp duty cycle

As golfer said, it depends on what the tune is asking for. Different stock calibrations command different pressures under WOT situations, and when you get into aftermarket tuning this can vary even more. For instance, in a lot of our tunes, we only command 2600psi. In some others, we command...

    Hard starting (kinda)

How many miles on the injectors? Does it turn over strong? Or is it having a hard time turning over, such as when you have a bad battery?
  20. Justin@DP-Tuner

    96 cranks no start

Update with what you find. First, just watch ICP and see if it gets over 500psi when cranking.
