    Direct has nothing to do with 3rd. 3rd is your intermediate clutch. Does reverse still feel good?

    No 2nd even in Manual 2? What about Manual 3? and Reverse? 2nd gear brings on the Overdrive clutch. You could have a speed sensor issue but first need to know my above questions.

    In a drag only setup that has CO2 for other uses I would for sure use it to control the Wastegates. I have never had an issue where I couldn't control my gates with boost.

    You need to decide your goals, is this more hot rod or more tow truck? Is the tow a short trip and flat or does it cover some long steep grades? A 68 is not the ideal for towing but would be ideal for a 600hp number.

    You are confused. The typical Zero-gap setup consists of the a Keystone top ring followed by a zero-gap 2nd. I haven't seen any reliability issue so far at 100K miles.

    6.4 cams

    We have done a cam only swap on a 6.4. Using our Stage 1 cam. No other change, dyno was done before and after. The power change was minimal. We made 18hp and 50 ft lbs of torque. These were not peak gains but low end gains. On the top end the truck had less backpressure.
