pics of drain would be helpful. "Borg Spec" on journal bearing turbos is 3/4" ID drain opening from the flange to its ending point. Not saying it must be 3/4" or it wont work, but you cant over size a drain.

AN fittings are not very good for drain lines if you are using any of those.

Degree of tilt allowed by "Borg Spec" is 15 degrees max tilt from vertical.

Just some food for thought.

This is my drain, it's the factory drain that I had to put a slight more bend into right down by the bung that goes into the pump. I don't think the drain itself is to restrictive but if it's pushed into the cover to far that could be an issue.
Here's the drain

It's kinda hard to see in the pics but it's tipped down on the exh housing just a hair.

Oil in the comp housing.

Why would I only be getting oil in the comp housing and not the exh housing? If the drain was backing up I'd think that both sides would show signs of oil or no?
The truck has just a slight haze at idle out of the tail pipe, I have always just wrote that off as the 230/100 injectors. It's never had a hint of white smoke from burnt oil out of the exh.

its ususally pretty obvious when a turbo's exhaust seal is leaking. First sign is the little bit of oil collecting on the v band clamp of the downpipe, then the slight haze when accelerating/letting off throttle, then the wet exhaust, etc...

Well here is the pic of the drain and how far it is in the pump cover. The blue sharpie mark is how far it is in. I'm gonna try and rework it a bit and have it pulled out some. And then go from there.

I reworked the drain a bit so I hope that will take care of my issue.
I can't feel any end play at all in the turbo. Comp. housing looks fine also no contact with the wheel or anything.
