Condition of the motor has been told by how it looks under the valve covers and the oan is coming off to install welded jets as well as the pan has a large dent from the accident.

Welded oil.squirters? Ive heard of them, seen them, pondered.buying them, but just am not sure of what they will fix. The stockers are bolted or some mechanical fastening and fail?

Factory ones are just tacked or press fit. I have had them missing in two motors over the years. They fall out... Hence the reason I always hit the oil pan with a dead blow hammer when I change my oil.

See if anything knocks back!

Lovin this build and I really like the idea of Cat yellow. If I can find an engine which I can't seem to do but if I can find one I want to do this build getting the parts and Engine this summer rebuilding it next winter in the off season.

So. all in all, what parts do you have to swap over from OBS engine to SD truck?

Front cover? oil cooler? exhaust manifolds?

I got the itch to start doing something with the spare engine I have

Intake manifolds, Exhaust manifolds and your good, assuming you dont use the factory fuel bowl. The front cover is the same (minus the filter screen on the res...

The only thing that sucks is I cant use my Billet intake plenums until Clay gets some more of the OBS ones built...

Have you ordered the welded squirters yet Joe?

Yes. Already on there way...

Bummer to hear this Joe... glad you found a new donor motor and are getting things squared away quickly it seems. Good luck with everything, if we ever get a chance to meet up again in the next 4 years we can have Rand Paul debates now that daddy is out of the picture.

Damn, only 3 hours? I need to have you guys come over here and pull mine so I can swap the oil pan.
I think it took Joe all of about 42 minutes to pull my turbo, swap in a ww and have everything back together and fired up. And I think that was with a beer break!

Deairetion valve on in the front cover of from what I have seen over the years, in 94 & 95's mostly, but like PMR motors, they pop up in random years. The valve was designed to do exactly its name, keep oil free of air bubbles... Issue is, it would back it self out and you wouldnt build any low pressure oil... It first bit me when I though I had a broken pick-up tube, removed the engine from the truck and it was fine, only to find that valve rattling around in the front cover...
