we'll see how mine does. Eric's pretty confident, so I'm trying it.

also I would imagine live tuning being superior to any emailed files.. so there's a plus.

Sent looking at my blown up 6.4

Eric is very good at what he does and I've run his tunes on both trucks I've owned. No complaints or issues!

Innovative tunes are pretty money for singles, I'd recommend them in a heartbeat.

Church.

the biggest issue for me was when i ran idp tunes he couldnt get od to lock out thru the tow/haul button. being able to lock out od is what makes a single shine.

Sounds like a trans issue not a tuning issue. Is your trans built? What converter and what stall?

Eric had his truck making 680hp on 35s with a 66 and 30% nozzles on stock fuel when just a 66 make what 620 at best so I think ill be happy with it until I get dual fuelers. I stick with Eric too he does a lot for the diesel community in our area. Plus his single tune I'm running doesn't shift into OD til 60mph so no need to use tow/hual. When I ran xrace I used the tow/hual and it would downshift

Yeah, my truck made 678 on the rollers on the single turbo x file from Eric. It does a nice job shifting and the pressures are nice and tight.

To each their own!

Eric would most likely do the same. Eric and Matt are both great to deal with. Vivian is also top notch as well as Chris at TSD haha.

Not a trans problem, but if you drive a file with an OD lockout in t/h its a world of a difference. You can choose when you want to shift into overdrive. no lugging at mph in overdrive trying to build boost. Pop it into tow/haul converter stays locked in direct and boost shoots up. Awesome at the track too. Most files shift into overdrive too early at the track.

But like you said to each his own, Erics files never shifted right in my 6.0. I love my Gearhead files.

Guess I'll have Eric write a new tune for me with t/h lock out.

Back when I was testing the single on my truck about two years ago, delaying the converter lockup until like 55mph and the OD shift to 60-62mph made it a whole new truck. Thing was an animal both on the street and the freeway. It made 636 with a kem 345 tune, stock fueling and trans.

30% nozzles on stock fuel is kind of pointless. You may have more low end, but you'll lose power on the top end running a 2.2-2.3ms tune. The stock k16 can run out of fuel quick. I just barely didn't maintain rail pressure on my 66 with all the fuel I could get. Erica tunes are harsh on the street, Matt's tunes are much more smooth and daily driveable.

I agree with maintaining rail with 30%s. It can be done but sacrificing power on top with a cut back PW tune.

You've driven a truck with pulled pw and 30% nozzles? Also have you driven a single with erics latest "single turbo" tunes. Far from harsh, my g/f who has no idea how to drive a big single truck can drive mine with no effort.
