You can maintain rail pressure. Just drop the pw down and you'll gain power. Just because someone from elite said you lose power with 15% nozzles doesn't hold true in every nozzle/fuel system scenario

I understand that, every truck is different when it comes to fuel output.

I have a 466 1.10 AR and love it. Turbo spools great, great power and not super smokey which is nice because I drive it around town mostly.

sorry I am new to this, a s466 1.10ar what should the turbine size be, if using with stock fuel?? and also will a s466 go on the MPD t-4 kit for the factory up pipes?
if so what size of flange is needed on the turbo for the downpipe, and CAC flange??

not sure if this makes any sense?

I had a truck with stock fuel put down 633 with just a LP batmo and 4" turbo back exhaust on Idp x-race. Was done on DP Tuners new Dyno-Jet at Scheids last year. Another truck with stock fuel and II towpowers, ported intake, 4" downpipe, 5" exhaust and gearhead race tune made 650. I did the work on them both so I know exactly what was in them. Both had airdogs and that was it for fuel mods. Just more air and big tunes.

So with the right airflow mods, stock fuel, etc (depending on the dyno/operator) you can make over 600.

How are those II compounds? Still holding up? Did they act well?

For anyone wondering, eric just wrote me a tune for my 30% and I got the tow/haul OD off option. Should be the perfect tune for a single now.

Your statement can be true but.......can you provide before and after dyno graphs of NOTHING changed but 30% nozzles and the proper tunes to match, showing a power gain?

Not saying your wrong, just saying prove your statement.

I done this, the lag wasnt that bad until OD at 45mph, but with tuning it would seem fine. I was talking to Eric about this and he also told me that is not a good comparison as Single kits have different piping and etc to help with spool up

Agreed on that, that's why I said somewhat similar. I did that in my 6 speed and its a bit more difficult to get the boost up between shifts

My wife's truck ran a 475 with 110hp's in it with the supporting cast. The comment about holding od till 60-62 is definitely true, way different animal vs the standard 310 tune it had.

mpd

anybody install the mpd t4 install kit for a single turbo using the factory up pipes? how much harder is it to do with the cab on?? only reason I ask this is my engine is out of the truck getting parts added to it, and this weekend I will be bringing the truck back in and lifting the cab and installing the engine, and I have to have the truck out of the shop before monday, and my problem is mpd hasn't pulled through with my kit yet, still waiting for it:confused:, so wondering if it is something I should try hold off and do once I have the kit, or do it after the cab is back on??

You can do it with the cab on fairly easy IMO. I did all the mods in my sig without pulling the cab. I pulled the engine out the front. Installed all the turbo stuff cab on, etc.

tunning

it probably is posted somewhere but can't connect with it right now, but when you install a single turbo do you have to do tuning? or anything, or can u just hook it up and drive it, and only do tuning to make it better?

your gonna need tuning for optimal drivibilty, but mainly just to turn your engine lights off from having the vgt unhooked.

sounds good maybe will have to see how the tune runs with a 472.
I think I am pushing my luck with only doing an airdog for fuel mods, but I guess I will see, got the kit finally hoping to install next week:popcorn:
