To answer one of the OP questions, i have towed with an S476 300/200 combination.

Is it for everyone? No, and I will tell you no every time.
Can it be done with out melting down the engine? Yes but you sure as hell are not going to be towing 15K in OD at 1800 RPM.

Good luck on your build.

more like 2800rpm.. lol

Without pulling the thread, it was over 800 fwhp fuel only and 1000+ on moderate spray, never had it on a chassis dyno, only engine, so no 'official' rwhp numbers. It's been a couple years since any significant changes to that setup.

2 stages of progressive spray and didn't go above .120 jets, usually kept both under 100 to keep carnage to a minimum.

holy ballz that is some turbo carnage.
Just curious but why can't you tow heavy with a s4/6 300/200 setup like that? Is it more or less just for performance and not towing?

you can and it has been done.. but you have to actually drive the truck not just put it in overdrive and not pay attention. gotta keep rpm up so airflow is key..

live life full throttle

god bless america and the farmer who feeds your fat ass

Even if you could make 700 on fuel with a 250cc injector why would you over having more capacity. A large capacity built into an injector can effect refill time. Again it is part theory kicking around but pushing an injector to completely empty a barrel of fuel vs having a good buffer built in sounds like having that buffer will be more efficient when the barrel is refilling. If your thinking of a 250/200 over a 300/200 which both have the same nozzle its not going to have any streetable advantage as to running a 250 over 300 or even 400/200

Well alot of guys are never even completely filling said injector under load.

Two cylinder head men to consider is Eddie Ingrahm and Robbie Crutchfield.. Cylinder head work is pricey.. Depending how deep you go, Ferrera valves, custom springs and roller tip rockers just for 160/100s is a bit dumb.. Now for 300-450 cc injector that's where head work shines. Then we can talk about cam shaft development.. Not to mention how much faster injectors have gotten and break throughs on IDMs due to swamps development... Spend say 12k total to make 500hp with said 175/100 injector, or drop a set of 238/100s in with spring, p.r's and arps with todays GT38rs.. Shoot 500 is cake with good tunes. Obs guys have to change a few things and add a cooler but that's just part of it.. I think the o.ps goa of 700 is soo doable and happy to see some people still throwing time at the old dinosaur. Great work man!

Talking about Ferrera valves, what's their price vs hypermax? I know Ron is quoting out like $500 for his inconel valves.

They're made by someone else obviously. I buy a few things from hypermax. I've been running a tapercore intercooler on my OBS for a few years now. It's been great, love it.

Stock is actually stainless.

I'm actually about to run out to Rons here in the next week or so and pick up a bedplate, rods and drop of a set of heads with him so he can machine them for his triple oring head gaskets. He's expensive, but honestly when it comes to your big ticket items, everyone is expensive. Swamps quoted me out at $3200 for a bedplate. Carson never got back to me for their bedplate style girdle and billet caps. Ron actually kinda cut me a deal on my order that made it competitive with swamps (rod wise). Say what you will, but hypermax has made some crazy power on a 7.3.

I prefer not to deal with swamps mainly because everytime I call them I instantly feel like a piece of **** (even though I am, that's not the point). When I call Ron I actually feel kinda special and that means something.

300/200 are an 800hp injector. Matt made over 1200 with 350/200 on the dyno. Yes he fogged the motor but the fuel potential is there. You may not hit 800 on fuel with those injectors unless you have a good set of compounds but a good flowing single and a small shot of nitrous and you will hit 800hp easily

Matt fogged the living snot out of it on the dyno. 300/200's are typically a solid 650-under 700hp injector. Fuel only, he never hit above 700.

Clearly you don't get out much or keep up to date cause that number has been reached and surpassed. Zack pierce Brian jelich Scott Morris all have 7.3 that make over 1000. And there are others but that is just a few to name. You need to go back and do some reading. 7.3 aren't crappy hp makers anymore there has been new developments in fueling and tuning to make them true game players.

Not on fuel only though. I chat with Scott on a regular basis.

But yes, there have been some very nice improvements with the ole 7.3 in the past couple years. #beers

On a side note, I did a test fit on my dads truck real quick today to get an idea.

You know why people like you move up into management so fast???? Lol.😂

Goal of work is to make money, not friends... As sad as that sounds.

Being fair, understanding and setting an example is the key to management. If I tell my guys we need to work all night, I'm right there with them turning a wrench. First one in and last one out, everyday. Phone turned on 24/7.... Living at work, it's great...

I only have 3 people here that hate me. Ones a democrat/socialist, other is fat/lazy and doesn't know how to use Microsoft office and the 3rd just bitches about not getting enough overtime but never wants to show up for overtime or can show up but can't work before or past X time... **** ain't gonna work bro lol.

Amen. I've heard it time and again. Lol! The key to awesome management is proper utilization of the skill set pool and pairing of said skillset. Management should also be transparent.

I agree, always be the first in and first out. I like a manager that is willing to be in the trenches too, but they should not get in the way. They need to be transparent and get their guys the tools they need to get the job done. My boss is awesome about this to a fault. I have to actually reign him in sometimes. Lol! My boss is also very cognisant of giving me bonuses that are not actually cash. He will give me high dollar gifts instead. Wife can't complain about that. Lol!

Yeah, I didn't think they were making 1,000 on fuel, good to know it was him that didn't know what he was talking about.
