Actually I misspoke again . Sorry about that. The GT4094VA has a GT40 series turbine wheel. I dont recall the exact specs on it. I'll have to go look it up if I can find it. I was thinking of the GT4094R which does have a 77mm inducer and a 68mm exducer on it and assumed that the GT40 series turbine was the same but I think it is in fact smaller.

Might go to the track Thursday if my new boots come in. Anyone want to guess track times?

77/68 isnt that huge, my turbine wheel on my 66 is 80/73. But the BW charger is a low inertia wheel. The garrett wheels on 6.0's just dont like to spin as quickly as the BW chargers for this reason.

It still moves the air though, a lot of it.

Havent had the chance yet, only hold 1500psi of icp. Plus all the tracks up here are closed. Will have to wait until spring.

I don't know what Garrett you're referring to compared to the Borg Warner journal bearing crap, but the s366 Borg with the 68 turbine was a dog on the road, .88 open housing, even compared to the 72..My Garrett 72/77 ball bearing unit spools much friendlier, builds more boost and definitely makes more power, Still withou divided up pipes so it's a pretty fair comparison.I'd say the opposite, the garrett 4088r and 4094r seem perfectly suited for the 6.0 with the .85 housing and spool better than any s300 journal bearing turbo thus far. It sounds VGT how easy it builds boost.

Go back and reread, you sound like youre getting confused with inducer And exduced. With my 66mm compressor i have no problems making boost with a 73mm turbine (exducer)(80mm inducer) its very response with a .91 housing and divided pipes. You had an open 88 housing and the flange adapter, big differemce

Garretts 77mm turbine is the inducer, so the exducer will be smaller

Not arguing at all Greg but for sake of discussion wouldn't a smaller turbine equate to faster spool?
