:) sweet. have you ran the gapless rings before?

Yes.
Had them in for a year and a half on the last engine.

I could pull the oil cap off at any time and have no smoke visible at all.

And the CCV reroute hose NEVER had smoke or stink coming out of it....I was surprised.

When you buy the pistons from Elite, you can get the rings for half price...(But when you need to buy them again, you pay full price.) -There was a good reason why, but I can't remember right now.

Ivan let us know how you like that high pressure charger.

Yeah I'm very curious.

Biggest change/improvment will be from going from a 66/71/.80 with regular sized wastegate ports, down to a 63/68/.70 charger with modified gate openings, and a different style of actuator. (They take up zero real estate man....frick'n awesome idea.)
Should have better spool up, and less backpressure overall.

Man that's A LOT of work. It looks VERY nice though for sure. So does it run?? I agree in not posting a video yet either. Make sure it starts first and runs, then ease into things as everything gets seated. If after a little while you are able to gain some confidence in the truck, then post a vid. Best of luck dude. I truly hope everything runs great.

Cranked over for 45 seconds...seen 50 psi oil pressure, but did not fire off, so I quit crankin.

Got out, looked around for any possible leaks...hooked up the charger to it, and tried it again.

Fired up, smoooooooooooth.

No leaks.

80 psi cold oil pressure on start up...just like before!!!! WoooHooo!!!!!:joy::joy::joy:

Put the new sticker on the plate, and go for a ride...:naughty:

Good to know about the gapless rings.

I've thought the same about that gate actuator after seeing pics of it, simple and compact. Glad to see you using it. Anything that simplifies the set-up and frees up real estate is a welcome addition under the hood of a 6.0. I'm sure the difference between your new high pressure and the previous one will make DD a lot more enjoyable.

Also, good to see your oil pressure issues are behind you.

Haha...I'm taking it real easy on it for a bit...

I'm so paranoid of something going wrong before I get a chance to put some miles on it...lol

I had to throw away 2 cans of "Coppercoat" because every time I look at the stuff I have flashbacks of what my oil filters and oilpan looked like when I tore the engine down.

HAHA now that made me laugh. I know the feeling though brother, clenched rear every time you get behind the wheel. How are its manners in the miles you've put on it?

Smooooth...

Runs great.
Still has the smoke until the engine hits around 180*F....then it clears right up till the engine cools down again.

When the primary starts to sing along with the secondary, they sound unbelievable together.
