I got all my parts the other day, called Schied diesel. Told them what I had and wanted to know if they could install it. The service manager said that they wouldn't work on a truck new enough to have dpf, if the dpf was off. He then told me they had never had a 6.7 in the shop. He said "that thing probably needs some kind of special tuning". I said yes, custom tuning via MCC tuning. He said "never heard of it. We pretty much just work on common rail cummins here."

What a disappointment.

Dan has his niche market and he's very, very good at it. He doesn't need to branch out into other makes to earn a living. I'd look for someone that knows the 6.7 platform like Dan knows the Cummins....

Here is what the 466 will look like when it's completed. He was with us on Saturday.

That looks nice. I tried to pm you a couple days ago, to ask your opinion on whether you think a built bottom is necessary with this turbo and fuelers. I have talked to Jared and he thinks its necessary, but I cant stomach spending that much more money on it right now, although it was less than I thought, its still a lot of cash to me. I want to do a tranny, ala's level and traction bars now, so theres several g's right there.

Tadd thinks it will live.

I don't think I have heard about a rod bending with a non vgt, that I can remember. I know you have run several turbos. I don't know enough about them to know which ones would be similar to this one though.

Also, what are you feeding your cp3 with? Is a lp pump necessary?

It all depends on a lot of issues. What 466 are we talking about? Are we talking about stock fuel with a T4 Dividend with 66/76 Turbine and a .84 exhaust housing with reliable tuning then yes I agree with Tadd. If we are talking about the same setup with Dual Fuel or a 2015 pump you are asking for trouble from the testing I have done. Maybe with a 1.0 exhaust housing and a CTS or other device to measure backpressure at first until you are sure it is not an issue, then you would be ok but the 6.7 likes the big exhaust Turbine ,Housing and it does not bother spool up like you would think. The bigger exhaust housing I go the more HP I have been able to make and the lower the EBP.

Most of the non-VGT that I see that most have been running are the 68 to 73 Turbines with .91 exhaust housings from what I have read.

I am still running my stock lift pump with a Dual Fuel with over 2400ms during the 1/4 with no rail drop with 66K on the pump so far. I see no reason to change it till I have a problem. This is all my opinion.

Exhaust back pressure doesn't bend rods. Cylinder pressure does. Doesn't matter vgt-non vgt. Remember.... ebp is less than 100psi, cylinder pressure is in the thousands. It takes more pressure pushing down on the piston to produce more power transferred to the crank. Tuning is what will make it live or die.

Just throwing that in there.

Totally agree. Just not many of the smaller Turbo's running Dual Fuel that I have seen of this type on the 6.7 doesn't mean there not out there. EBP is the only way I have to monitor what I have and what is going on with what I am doing. VGT Non-VGT doesn't matter to me drive what you like. I do. They both have a place in this market.

I will be installing a CTS system on the 466 in the picture I posted and providing some custom Tuning. Right now they are only running box tuning with no gauges whatsoever and are unsure of what they have. They are running with no limits or any safety's or backdown's at all and it doing fine. Truck is lifted and on 35's. FWIW

Soon. Morgan has my truck and my boxes and boxes of parts. Going to try the stock bottom end, and he's gonna build the tranny. Hoping to have it back together sometime next week.

Truck is together. Its not fully tuned yet, but I got to drive it today. Seems pretty strong. Seems to spool pretty good, and when it does holy crap! Charger goes balls deep in the boost gauge in about a millisecond. Has a supercharger type sound in the cab. Does not whistle outside at idle. It doesn't smoke hardly any unless you punch it, and then its not terrible.

Morgans transmission feels firm and crisp compared to stock.

Its throwing a code that defuels the truck and comes across the display "exhaust filter over limit, service now" that Morgan is gonna figure out next week. Kinda ironic since the exhaust filter isn't even on the truck!
