I know Jake. But it's hard to relay what I see on the truck and try to explain it here. First thing I'll do is get new tunes.

That's also a good place to start. And something I've experienced. And I have a set of gauges that cover my CEL, so I never look at that anyways lol. But I did experience tuning that made the truck go into a limp mode like you described. And stay that way until restart. Which I didn't know existed on a 7.3. New tuning fixed it. It took a few tries to get the tuning dialed in remotely, but ge@rhead got it done.

If Dyno Proven was still functioning, I could have gotten ahold of them but there MIA

I've no personal experience with their tuning. But I tried, and after a few months post order and several no call backs I did finally get a hold of someone and cancelled the order. I'd also ordered a part they said they had in stock, because their ship time would have been faster than riffraff, but boy was I wrong. After a few months it didn't show either.

I think your money would be well spent on ge@rhead. But I guess I'm a little biased. It took several tries to get my got tuned dialed in. But the truck runs great. We had an idle issue they fixed, though that was just easier and quicker. I tried a few times and revisions from php, but their pedal was too touchy for a manual truck imo, and they said it looked fine. So they weren't doing anything about it unless I came in for live tuning.

x3....get rid of the DynoProven tunes.

When it throws the P1211 code, what is the IPR %?

When my truck threw the P1211 code, it would go into limp mode until I turned off the truck and restarted it.

Your first post almost confirmed my suspension it was Dyno tunes causing the issue.

What is it about Jonathan's tunes that you don't like? I've been running his tunes for years. I really loved my ******** tunes and was planning on getting a Hydra and running Jonathan's, Matt's and Bill's (PHP) tunes. I've never ran Bill's tunes.

This is not the first person I've read about that has had trouble with his tuning. I'm not saying yours don't work good. I'm just stating I seem to remember others having trouble. And another member just above had similar symptoms if I am reading it right.

That's how I read it also. My truck was always live tuned by him and I have specific things that I want, such as stock pedal feel ( u don't get the fun stuff til over 50% throttle), trans shifting, limiting torque, etc.

If his tuning is throwing a code, that is where my problem.
worth a shot to try different tunes for sure.. I had issues with my truck back when Johnathan was at beans and after about 10 revisions and mailing chips back and forth I finally drive down to beans and got it live tuned.. so I guess, after seeing others have issues here and there with Johnathans tunes, maybe I did too but whitey just wasn't changing much with each revised chip.. I could tell some things changed but she was ornery about it and that is when I finally said f it and drove to beans for live tuning.

live life full throttle

I don't think that has anything to do with it.

Tuning guys, correct me if I'm wrong but you change the setting on how quick the CEL is tripped. If Jonathan has X pressure programmed and the truck produces X pressure, he can set the parameters on how quick or disregard the CEL if pressures aren't met.

With your case, the truck might be making over pressure than it's programmed and tripping the CEL. The P1211 is such a generic code.

One of my best moves was getting rid of the Dyno tunes and every performance part related to DynoProven off my truck. Ever since he opened DynoProven, his customer service sucks. I sent in a chip that had live tunes on it for a minor idle tweak. I waited 2 months and get back a chip with different tunes. Yep....my tunes were gone.

Hope my Honey Badger Jr doesn't puke soon.

I placed an order on Beans Diesel for ******** tunes.

My next concern is the injector that may not be working. I'll take valve cover off look for oil from discharge them maybe swap with another like said before

I would've gotten ahold of Mike here and gotten some of Cale's tunes. I don't know who Bean is using for tunes, it could still be from Jonathan. And you might be in the same boat.

I wouldn't touch any injector and/or disrupt the HPO system until you get some different tunes in there.

I'm still out $50 from dyno proven. I was told he could write me 2 tunes just to try (I had the dp-tuner f6 V2) so I could compare to Jody's tunes, and if I liked I would purchase more. So I paid $50 on top of my order for the dipstick tube piece on the oil pan, received it in a couple days, was told the tunes would be a little longer, after a few times of trying to get in touch and same old sorry, and eventually no answer I gave up. Then i sold the truck, and though I would try to get a credit towards tunes on my 6.0l, never got anywhere with that either, ibwas told different platform, different pricing, whatever. I'll never do business with them again.
