Cracked heads it is for mine!! Yay hardened valve seas are useless I think.

***k that is not what I wanted to hear!! I had just decided this week to order HGs and just do the job myself through the winter when I find time.
Was planning to just do the gaskets, mpd 100s, and maybe an elite 76. Check the heads for flatness then bolt it back together. Looks like that might not be the best plan.
What were the specs on your heads?

They had hardened valve seats and were decked right before they went on.
