I hear ya and completely understand. I guess what I was trying to say is why did you go with those over (I think it is) Carillo or even stock rods?? I am curious to see if you have any problems with them. Thanks none the less and glad to hear you got it all up and running.

and if any one remembers my thread about how my truck acted when it wast started cold
video here
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RKtgDd7IuEo&feature=endscreen&NR=1

That is tuned with a moderate FICM tune

and the new video I posted today is with the stock tune, new pcm (now vxcf4) and a Race FICM. Starts alot better and its 47* out.

Matt, did you notice any HP increase from the moderate FICM to the race FICM? Just curious cause my ID moderate FICM was awesome and started great in the cold, but just last week the FICM started causing my truck to have some rough shakey idles. I pulled the stock FICM off my spare engine and no more rough idles at cold start. I wanna get the 58v mod from swamps, but am really up in the air on the moderate or race FICM. Eric told me a while back that the race FICM was more directed towards trucks with injectors larger than 190cc and a truck wont start that good with the race FICM and smaller sticks. But i've heard alot of guys now saying that they are running ID's race FICM with sticks 190cc or smaller....so IDK.

I chose them over hypermax because they were supost to be stronger and lighter so I went for it. I have a set of crowler rods for the ranger and they look nice as well, but cost alot too. I dont know much about the carillo rods.

I dont really know yet, just threw it on and all the driving I have on it is around the shop lol Ill let ya know but I dont exspect any change really. He toll me it was for larger than 190 trucks too when I got my moderate one.

this one had it on it for about a week this summer. Had problems with making boost, compounds had the same problem and I think I have it figured out. We will find out when I test drive it.

WOW!!! This thing is responsive! Builds boost 100000000x times better than the 66 and 83! All I did was drive alittle to check for leaks and found out on the low pressure turbo so Im letting it cool. Then some videos!
