it was more of a reassurance factor, no one has really commented saying they have gotten high miles ******d.

i'll play the ghost of christmas reality. you're all good , you made the RIGHT choice, enjoy your truck.

Had about 200 similar conversations over the years. All pointless and a complete waste of time to even respond.

people stating there bias opinions about the reliability of our trucks? Or people like me just people wanting actual info from truck owners?

Ever hear of the term, no news is good news? The reason there are not a ton of blowed up stories is because most people are out enjoying there trucks.

never really hear or see of anything happening good or bad with these engines. But then again I'm the only person I know personally who has this new of a super duty.

There are tons of trouble-free high mileage trucks out there. The turbos aren't made of glass fragile, and if you happen to lose a turbo, they don't really cause catastrophic failure.

The turbos aren't overly expensive and the labor to replace them isn't that bad.

I giggle about people who worry about a 6.7 as I have owned 6.4's for a few minutes now

You have no idea. He's also got a barely running, about to blow up 6.7 that he's babied its entire life for sale in the classifieds.

Fairly accurate. Sometimes I have to get a running start at our driveway because it'll barely get up it on one injector.

All sarcasm about how f*cking stupid the GM tech is and just how stupid almost everything he said was aside... I loved the whole: "Because of the reverse flow" part btw... NOT d3leting these trucks is worse for reliability and lifespan. Let's look at what regen cycles and EeGeeR does to an engine: Needlessly high egt's to burn off soot, and exhaust gasses being put back through the engine. Anyone who's pulled apart any of the newer deepeeF/EeGeeR equipped trucks, knows just how much soot build-up occurs inside the engine. So ask yourself: "Does that make any sense, or did GM hire a total dipsh!t brand loyalist who basically talks out his anus?" As we used to say in the Navy: Common sense is authorized, use it.

I tried to explain that to him, hell my intake manifold was full of soot when I pulled it apart, but according to him, it's engineered to work with better then the re-gen cycles. I knew it was total horse ****, but when you're the one powerstroke guy in the room with 3 "durmax experts" as they claim, its easier to just let them run their mouths. My only real reason for concern is the number of miles on deeeeeleted and tuned trucks out in the field since I hadn't really heard experience's, good or bad.

Mine had a weight loss at just shy of 5000 miles. It's got just over 11,000 now. That tells you or me nothing about long term reliability. It still puts a smile on my face every time I drive it, and I'm not worried about a sensor leaving me on the side of the road.

The above is only slightly more useful than the GM experts screwball opinions, and does exactly the same in terms of answering your longetivity question...which is to say not at all. I've no idea if it'll last 1 mile longer or 1,000,000 miles longer. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

So go drive your truck, enjoy the sh!t out of it, and ignor the morons.

Remember, the experts told Columbus the world was flat. They were wrong.
