That's why I think he's going to take it again this year and will use every bite of his truck to do it.

Rocky isn't the only one familiar with his truck. Competition is A LOT stiffer this year than it was last year. Nothing against Rocky, but I don't think a fummins will win it this year.

Its funny he seem to beat the 3 time reining champion last year and people douted him. I say good luck to all, your going to need it. Sorry I'm not trying to pee in everyone wheaties, I just have to support Rocky on this one.

Thought I heard rocky did a few things to up the power this round. Can anybody confirm this?

60% of the trucks that entered didn't live through the competition though... Rocky had one of the most capable trucks that lived. He's a good competitor, and that helped him too. That being said the line up for this year is WAY tougher this year than last. Rocky is gonna have to earn that title this year.

i think rocky earned it last year. its survival of the fittest. rcky survived by not making too much power. had shone and dmitri made it thru.... nobody else would have been close other than the trailer tow. andy got killed in the trailer tow because he had a camera guy asking questions while he was backing up a trailer. andy , rocky and joel had the top 3 trucks in my opinion. andys truck was heavier so he only ran a 12.0 , but killed rocky in the sledpull, so that balanced it out. many factors aside from hp. im not really sure why there is anything being discussed about this year's event, nobody stands a chance against me.

They wrote me in as a last minute contender...you wouldn't believe how fast the truck is with all the weight of the cab off of it.... :doh: Got a few drinks in me and feeling a little better ... Good luck man.

I don't think he's even had time to look at it, he's busy trying to run his own shop. He will be lucky to wash it before the event.

Yeah I think he has been working on it, he put the charger on it because the batteries are died

Here's a video of Rockys truck the weekend after the dpc. He almost hit the fence and was hitting the brakes after the gate. This is the same place the dpc sled pull was done at. It could of pulled better for the challenge but it hd some problems. This year it won't happen again.

This is also with the sled set at a 3.0 class, the dpc was done with a 2.6 class set up

He's also hanging weight, can't do that at DPC.

And, IIRC the track didn't look half as good as that one did, during DPC.

like the 200lbs on the front made that big of a differance, it was his rear end that had issues at the dpc. So you add 200lbs to his truck and a sled that drops alot faster then the one dpc was done with.

Oh and tha don't prep the track for test and tune pulls. The marks on the lower side of the track was also from him on his first try. The bumps stops were a problem for him.
