Yeah I didn't feel like buying the stc tool and it bit me big time. Hopefully have it race ready Tomorrow and beat the piss out of it on Saturday.

A couple flat screw drivers or two small pry bars work for sliding the stc up in order to get the line off. Takes just a few seconds

Is it broken off? I can't tell from the picture.

On my old hpos, I used die grinder chuck tools to pop the connectors off.
Piece of piss.
