I made an adapter that fits into the ICP port to apply shop air.

Then apply 12v to the IPR valve and listen for leaks

Not gonna let you hang...........

Jonathan is building a pump tonight and it will go out tomorrow in the AM.

If it turns out not to be the pump just send it back..if it is the pump send the old one back. Return label will be in with the pump.

Holy **** man. Thanks. I have a new address I'll pm you. I'm thinking it could be a bad hpo leak.

I hate to go straight to the worst thing but I think this might be gear related.

Is your hpop set up in the engine like the 7.3 where you have the gear behind a cover and have to put the pump in then bolt through the gear into the pump? Or is the gear and pump and everything all put together before you put the pump in? When I picked up my pump from Carson stauffer he told me to make sure the gear was clean of any oil before I torqued the bolt into the pump. He said use use starter fluid and I did. Seems to have worked well. Not sure if yours is set up like the 7.3 or not.

You say you've worked on a 6.4 right? My hpop is pretty much identical to a 6.4 hpfp.

Ok. So gear gets bolted to the pump then the whole thing gets set into the motor. Not the same as the 7.3 then.

Ya it should be able to build at least a few PSI if it was a leak.
Maybe you can help me here. If the truck was just say a no start due to a bad ficm and I was cranking it. Would the ipr be commanded at 94 until it starts?

I just need to airtest the ***ker.

I don't think so. I would check on my truck but it is down.

The IPR should adjust to reach your desired PSI. Lets assume between 500-1000psi depending on what the tune desires. Usually if it is a leak or stuck IPR you will see psi build up to about 200-300 and just not start and IPR DC will be at .89+

If you are reading absolute ZERO psi, then I would think bad pump or bad ICP sensor, or the pump is not getting any oil. If the computer never reads above 500psi then it will NEVER command the injectors to fire... even if you are actually building more psi than that.

Try unplugging your ICP sensor and see if it starts

Didn't you have a lpop issues a few weeks ago? Maybe it came back?

It's making lpo but I'm thinking it may not be getting to the pump.

Probably won't have updates for a bit. Sick of working on this thing. Will be putting a new pump on it no matter what though.
