How come you decided against the Elite HD pistons? I am considering buying a set of stockers and having them machined like you are. Any idea what a set of stockers cost?

Just wanted to try them. Haller had a set I traded for a intercooler pipe.

I think the HD pistons are only 100 bucks more than stocks.

Plus like Erik said i.like trying my own stuff

Gotcha. I thought the hd ones were only a little more than stockers but I couldn't remember. I don't know if you still need one or not, but I have a stock intercooler if you do.

The lip is and will always be a stress riser, especially with all the heat from added fuel.

Looks good man! Can't wait to see the final outcome.

Yep i'm back to driving the crew cab daily. ....

I actually I used a wood router and a carbide bit to get the radius correct then just a little hand sanding

Have you check the weight of them? I hope they all balance out fine.

I know when I was reliving some pistons on a turbo Yamaha one was a little less then the others and that motor lived a very short life. Granted it was about 3 times the RPM but there was also alot less mass.

Just an FYI might want to check the weight of them all.

Balance the rotating assembly Dustin. When I took mine in it was way off and the machine shop wasn't surprised either. All my rod/piston assemblies are within 2grams each other.
