I'm stumped.... As of now messing with the gate a little. Only seeing 37-40 lbs of boost bp is hitting 65 before subtracting but when the converter is locked and its at high rpm I see 80 lbs of bp before subtracting

Still dialing in the date. I'm going to shut it completely and see what i get. I'll work on it tuesday because I work for 24 hours tomorrow starting at 7am. Post some vids later tonight when i get home

Ok well im trying to get vids of the surging uploaded now. The truck definitely pulls hard now, it sounds completely different anything over 2k rpm when the torque converter isnt locked, throaty as hell and maybe a bit louder. Its really hard to get how well it sounds on video, . Definitely a noticeable difference overall, even with the surging. I dont really have any plans persay to spin higher rpms, but i did get it to hit 4k rpm today and it pulled hard all the way till I let off (without the torque converter locked.) Only a dyno will be able to tell the real improvement. So far NO puking, no leaks of any sort which im a big fan of. Did do a ccv mod as well venting to the atmosphere, cant tell if thats whats stinkins or the new exhaust metal burning still :p.

In this one you cant hear the surging although it is, remember im about half throttle, when its pinned it does clear up. Seems to be pretty normal?

Heres vgt duty cycle. Again about half throttle, you can see where the graph fluctuates unti I let off.

One thing I am going to try Tuesday is close the gate totally off, because I had tinkered with it today, and make sure it doesnt open at all. I notice tonight with the torque converter locked, and pinned I was only getting to about 38-40psi of boost and about 62-65 psi of bp without subtracting barometric pressure, maybe its not getting enough boost yet until i dial it in? I know before Id hit about 50psi of boost.... Sorry for not uploading the videos right to here, not quite sure how, if anyone wants to school me... Thanks for the input

If the gate is opening now you should see an increase in boost and bp. Just keep an eye on it. Since the videos are from you tube just copy the url, press the blue insert link button and paste the url there. They will post here in your comment window.

surging looks similar to mine - is yours holding rail pressure? I know I can watch desired and actual which mine is right on although both jump all over when my truck surges

Rail pressure doesn't surge. It's actually kinda weird cause I first thought I wasn't holding rail pressure but it is. It actually spikes when I first get on it without the torque converter locked and makes my alarm that's set at 27500 to go off. But when its lock it holds at 25k. The only thing I've seen flucuate is the vgt duty cycle like in the videos

Vgt duty cycle is controlled by alot of things.

Monitor back pressure and back pressure desired and let us know what it does
