I think they just have something like red loctite holding them in. Being machined like they are they are very hard to get ahold of with anything. Maybe order new ones and try to get a hold of a welder to get a nut on the end and twist them out?

Don't twist them!
Good visegrips on a slide hammer, and heat the ears around the pins. They'll come out.
Once you twist the pin, it'll seize, and then you'll have to work at it.

Ok. Like the rental slide hammers from any auto parts store?

Sure. We have smallish slide hammer with a threaded connection on the shafts. Piece of all threads into the visegrips, and you're in business.

Some heat and 2 pairs of vice grips clamped on sideways to the pins then prying on the vice grips with a small crowbar worked. The second one I just clamped the vice grips head on and wiggled up and down while pulling. Vice grips kept sliding off but it worked.

Unfortunately I found a new problem when I fixed the turbo to spyder leak I had,
(oring from the Hastings oil filter worked well btw)
The turbo pedestal is also spraying air and oil every place. I didn't gut the pedestal when I removed the ebpv and I also did plug it back in. So hopefully I didn't do any damage with my 30 min commute starving it of oil... Gonna look up the plugs and probably pull it out this weekend.

Pretty sure the obs is smaller.
But thanks.
My idle fluctuation it's getting worse. Today it went from 500 kinda starting to get rough sounding to 900 at a stop light. Gotta get a fuel pressure gauge and something to read hpop, icp, turbo etc,
After I fix my pedestal. Maybe trade it in for something newer and be done lol

Ok so I broke another flexplate after about 2weeks. I guess a bad torque converter is the next thing other than the engine and trans not being connected/aligned correctly that would break a flexplate....
So maybe not having the right dowels at first broke my first flex plate and damaged the torque converter and now that the pins are right in Simon breaking them because I didn't replace the torque converter?

I think I'm getting it right...
Big question is will running a bad torque converter like I have been do any other damage to the trans or valve body?
I'm dropping it off with Ford this time btw.

Just buy a Adrenaline or HBJr. I would also recommend a T500, but I hear Joey is a little tough to get ahold of these days. All known good products, for about the price of a rebuild, and cheaper than a new pump. All three wil do way better than your 17º.

I'm just going to put my hpop from my old engine on with a new gasket. It was doing fine. I'll just plan on an upgrade whenever it starts to fail. Not sure how long they normally run for, but it has 234xxx on it.

What's everyone think a rusty truck with a new engine is worth once I get it running right?
