I have seen the trck bar ball joint also. Need to have the weight of the truck when checking it. Have someone steer th ewheel back and forth slightly. The one I just replaced had almost 3/4 inch of movement.

Usually it's excess toe-in or worn bushings. Lay under the truck while someone wiggles the steering wheel back and forth. I can almost guarantee if it has death wobbled more than once, there's a worn trac bar bushing NOW.

Track bar/ dual stabs. If it continues...check your ball joints. Bad ball joints will have you constantly chasing the fron end while driving.

Replace the track bar ball joint as well while you have the track bar off. I battled with death wobble issues on the '08. New stabilizer and adjustable track bar didn't help. Replaced the track bar ball joint and it hasn't done it since. If they have the slightest bit of play or moves easily then it's junk.

Which track bar did you go with? I went with BD diesel and it took care of it immediately. Death wobble has been a hit or miss deal with people. When mine first started I did some research and saw that guys were spending a bunch of money with no success on ball joints, tie rods, drag links, caster, camber and on and on and on. I think I read that one guy spent 4k at the Ford dealership and nothing worked and he even got the 700 dollar track bar that I think is made by ready lift that is double adjustable and has fancy rod ends and it didn't even work.

I wished I saw this thread a couple of days ago. Every time I see a thread like this pop up I recommend the BD diesel track bar since it worked for me and it is relatively cheap at 230 I think and it is adjustable.

You cant just say only a track bar will fix it when it may or may not. It could still be all those other things, it has happened before.

Did it fix it?

I completely agree. I did a bunch or research on this when I had my wobble issues. Based on what I saw I made the educated decision that I was going to start with the track bar since in several people opinion that was the issue. When I found out that an aftermarket "upgraded" adjustable track bar was only 200 bucks I said what the hell might as well give it a shot and it worked for me. I am not saying that I have found the end all cure all for the issue. I am just saying that it is a good and a cheap place to start.
