Heard it washes cylinders. Not sure if they still do it the same way or not

And as far as i'm concerned....the lope tune harming injectors is just a myth until there's proof that it actually does harm them. I haven't heard or seen any evidence that it does hurt them other than just hearsay stuff.

The lope tunes that billow white smoke deff do wash down cylinders and dilute oil. However if eric is selling a lope tune I bet he is doing it differently and it is safe. I don't think eric would release a tune that wasn't. Jmo

totally agree. just stating what i heard. i remember eric himself telling me that 6.0 injectors have a hard time staying alive the way it is even without a lope tune. I am not going to lie and say I wouldnt run one. I had a race lope tune from rcd and i thought it was sick. I hope to get one on the 6.4 sometime

Here's another email i got from eric

No, it won't hurt the injectors the way we make the truck lope. Josh does it the same way, we have spoken about it in the past.

im assuming this tune is just as rough a shifter as the x-race if its full lock...i know they recommend you have an aftermarket trans with x-race for that reason..and if this tune puts down more fun numbers, id bet a stocker would :flush:

If you drive it daily like a sane person you should have no issues with the transmission. If this tune locks the converter over 50% throttle, than the only problems I see you having is if you hot rod it stop light to stop light.

Ok well so far I have ordered tunes from three different tuners and of the three, Eric has responded the quickest in both question emails and file sending. I just ordered his tunes (extreme x, extreme street, and street [for towing up to 10k] all tailored for 190/100 injectors). Once I get my injectors installed I will load them up and see how the truck does.

I think you'll be happy Nate. I love my tunes from Eric. I run his X Street all the time and even after the PMax and a leaky up pipe it runs great. I'm looking forward to getting a tune from him revised for my curent parts. xtreme X sounds like it has my name on it.

Yea I'm excited for sure and am pretty sure I will be happy. I am still going to get my other tuners' tunes updated for the larger injectors so I can compare them to IDP and see which one runs the best.

got my buddies rig out the shop today from powerstroke magic and he has the extreme x and the xtreme street and he "claims" the street is more mean than the extreme x...i rode in it with extreme x loaded and it feels like it pulls pretty hard but doesnt seem that much different than extreme street other than rougher shifts??? idk..hes lifted on 37s CCSB..im CCSB stock..it lites the 37s up from a dead dig but out on the road its about like mine in x-street...i guess the lift and tires make that big of a difference with the tunes...

To me the Xxtreme X acts like a street tune before 1/2 throttle, then it feels like more than Xtreme race. I love the way it shifts and drives with the lock up. Best tune I have had so far.

I could be wrong but I think Eric said that actually is the only difference- the torque converter lock-up and trans strategy.

I can see that being the case. You can tell a huge difference in shifting for sure.
