To me the Xxtreme X acts like a street tune before 1/2 throttle, then it feels like more than Xtreme race. I love the way it shifts and drives with the lock up. Best tune I have had so far.

Exactly. I have put about 600 miles on it now and I am really liking it. It drives smoother than stock around town with nice smooth shifts but when you give it some fuel it shifts quick and firm and pulls hard with the converter locked. It also doesn't have a dead spot around 50 like my xstreet sometimes had. Also seems to run cooler on 50-75% throttle acceleration than x street.

So I finally loaded up the Xtreme X for my injectors and put about 60 miles on it today for going back and forth to work. All I can really say is that this is a beautiful tune. It is a little more light switchy than my SPD but feels very similar if not slightly more powerful down low. I dont know yet about what it does up top yet because I havent gotten around to doing another WOT run yet and I dont have my video camera right now so I will get it back and take another video. With 30% throttle, there is just a slight haze and accelerating to 70mph is very nice and shifting is spot on. EGTs on a run like that get to about 1100F. So for me I am very happy and Eric even smoothed out the cruise control disengagement for me as well.

On a side note (and I'm not intending to slam anyone): out of all the tuners I have dealt with so far, Eric has been the quickest for responding. This isnt to say that the other guys arent great guys as they most certainly are. I just wanted to pass along my gratitude to Eric for such GREAT customer service as I believe it is worth mentioning.

I love Erics tunes, but I simply will not run anything with an aggressive torque converter lock up for the street. I ran X-race for a while as a DD and grenaded the stock torque converter. I keep the race tunes for racing. Just use x-street, or currently running Doug's race tune with stock lock up. There's just no need for the lock up on a DD IMO.

im running xtreme x with an older ficm calibration, it is very drivable. eric wrote this file to be very aggressive, basically an all out tune, not just power wise but throttle response, spool up and over all snappiness.

X-race is the only thing i run in my truck...no issues with anything.

I should add that I simply wont run them with MY driving habits. I was just too hard on it. Though I was told I should have had no problems with it... I did though.

i prefer xtreme street for a daily file it drives very nice and is plenty fast. also is a lot more fun for playing around part throttle and at low speeds.

for those of you that have both the extreme-race and extreme x....is there a big noticable difference between the two on how the truck runs?

Thanks Brody. I've been wanting to get this tune for a while now, but i've been holding off because i'm waiting to get my ECM rolled back. No sense in having eric write an extreme x tune now and have to have him rewrite it when i get it rolled back...so it's just been a waiting period for the extreme x for me.

I didnt know that rolling back the ecm helped if you had custom tunes.

just got eric's xtreme-x tune today. I got it downloaded into the truck but haven't had time to take for a drive...only started it. I noticed it didn't lope...does the xtreme-x lope? I contacted eric about it...just waiting for a reply on it loping. He actually told me that since i have a tuned FICM, i didn't need to have my ECM rollback like i wanted to do. Supposedly he can do the rollback in the tune with it writed for the early non inferred EBP strategy. Should be able to have time tomorrow to test out the new extreme-x tune.

Mine doesnt lope at idle with my injectors. I think you'll really like it Chris. It is a beautiful tune and is really my second favorite tune next to the SPD w/early lock up. I am sure it is purely a personal preference because I drive like a grandpa so that is why I like the smoother application of power with the SPD. Nevertheless, the shifting is spot on and VERY smooth. Eric even smoothed out the disengagement of cruise control for me as well. Overall I dont really have any complaints and will probably just keep running it for a while. At 70-75mph on flat ground with outside air temp as high as 99F today, cruising boost was 4-5psi and EGTs were 750-850F depending on grade. Completely flat ground allowed the EGTs to be right around 775-780F, which is plenty cool for me in this heat.
